Description

We’ve all been there: A loved one is struggling and feeling isolated after a cancer diagnosis or other life-changing event. You want to be supportive, but you’re not sure how. Or maybe you are the one that needs support but can’t quite find the words to say or feel uncomfortable asking directly. Keeping everyone updated can be exhausting. The challenge? If you don't let them know what connection and support you want (or don't want), you will get what your well-intentioned loved ones think you need, which can add stress for everyone!

That is where b-there comes in! The b-there app is an invite-only connection and support app that makes communicating needs, status and desires to connect clear and easy to act on. No more misunderstandings, unwelcome conversations, duplicate items, or unexpected visitors. Being there and staying connected has never been easier!

b-there is available for free and can be downloaded from the app store. You can register quickly using your Google, Facebook or Apple account, or you can use your email address and create a password. Then, set up your profile, and you're ready to go!

Connect
b-there is an invite-only app, so you choose who is in your network. Invite members to your private network by entering their email addresses. After accepting the invite, they are added to your network and can start supporting. Your network will only see the info you want them to see. You select who is invited to activities and wish requests, and no one else sees who is in your network except you. If you no longer want someone as part of your network, you can delete them at any time.

Status
Like to keep things to the point? So does b-there! Updating your status is simple.

Share a quick note about how it’s going (think short note, not journal entry)
-Pick an emoji to match your vibe (helps your network show up mindful of your mood)
-Choose how you want to connect (welcome visitors or set as “do not disturb”)
-Let them know if health-related questions are ok today

If things change and you can no longer connect or participate in planned activities, just update your status. Helpful Tip: Make sure your support network knows to check the b-there app before they plan to connect or come by.

Wishlist
Use the wishlist to request anything: a favorite food or beverage, a comfort item, a visit, or helpful task. Provide a link, add any details, desired date, and your invited supporters can sign up. You choose who sees the wish. Once it is claimed, your loved one will know you’re on it, and your network will know it is no longer available.

And that's it! No need to guess. No stress. You've got this, and they've got you!

b-there - It really is that simple.

Tori Heppermann,
Easy to use and organize support
Love the simplicity in the apps design. It makes asking for and offering support simple. It also is nice to receive updates to see how my friend is doing. I am able to see where I can help the most (ex: bringing food, running an errand). Would recommend for those who are looking for an easy way to organize support for a loved one!
