k.katherine.s,
Baby and Mama tracking done right!
This app is gold. It has all the common activities you’d want to track for your baby done simply, beautifully, intuitively, and without fuss. I love that you can be as specific or as simple as you want, other apps won’t let you save an activity without filing out all the fields. As a second time mom, there’s plenty of times where the toddler distracts me from logging right away and getting some info entered later in the day is better than none! As others have mentioned, typing things in or just hitting start/stop is intuitive and easy - I’m never saying “how do I do this?” with this app!

BUT what makes this app really special is the ability to track activities for mom. With my first baby, the baby blues quickly spiraled into Postpartum Depression because keeping myself hydrated, fed, and showered was easy to forget. While babies cry to remind you something’s forgotten, Mama bodies will just keep grinding until you’re so depleted you can’t get out of bed. Tracking myself along with baby in one place is simple and beautifully executed! There’s even the ability to track mom sleep (not that you have much control over it) but when you “wake up” from a night of 2 hour stretches b/c of a growth spurt, it’s easy to see why you feel foggy and short fused! Without a doubt I’m a better mamma because of the insight I get from this app!
Pale aril,
Has everything we want!
Things my partner and I love about this app: -great timer for breastfeeding: can time each side, pause, enter other data in the app, then go back to timer without losing your time/info. -simple buttons and choices for entering data like diaper changes, routines, etc. -opens keyboard for entering data when you select that field (you’d be surprised how annoying this is when it doesn’t happen—I have a wiggling baby, I don’t have time to select the same thing twice because someone didn’t think that I would want to enter data into a field I literally just selected 🙄) -automatically enters the time when you select the data you want to enter (see above again) -can sync with a partner/others to coordinate care -timer sync as well! Super helpful if one of you puts down the baby for a nap and the other gets them up—either person can start/stop the timer so you’re never left with a timer hanging out there in the ether. -can enter growth info like weight, height, head size, etc. -can enter personalized ‘routines’, like tummy time and baths as well as creating your own items. -beautiful design and colors. Not cluttered or distracting. Not constantly trying to sell you something.
esmtll,
The best app. Period.
Nara is not only the best app for tracking your baby’s daily habits, it is quite possibly the best app in my phone. We’re on baby three, with six years between the first and last. A lot has changed in that time, most noticeably in baby tech. When I discovered that our go-to feeding/diapering/pumping app had become a bloated personal information tracking disaster, I went in search of something simpler and better designed. I never expected to find something this good. Oh, what a joy Nara is. First, it’s beautiful designed, from App icon to fonts to colors and cheeky graphics. It is functionally and efficiently laid out, providing just the right amount of space for the most important data, doesn’t bulk up on unnecessary cruft, and allows you to adapt the app to what you need most. I would pay $25 a month for Nara and it would still be a bargain. Which is what makes me most scared. How can they make something so wonderful and give it away for free, without significant personal information tracking or crummy ads? I fear the VCs are lurking in the wings, waiting to invest-and-ruin. Never change Nara! If you need to, charge money, spend some of it on advertising, and get this app in the hands of parents everywhere!
ChelseaNY,
Download this immediately! Delete the others!
This app is the best. No need to search any further. It’s simplistic but visually appealing screen is perfect and easy to see and use. Tracks everything you need, feeding (breast, formula, solids), diaper changes with options to record what the waste looked like, sleep, routines, medical history and more. It doesn’t require a lot of clicking through screens which is great when you have one hand and you’re trying to add a feeding before you forget while holding a bottle in place with your chin. Since I downloaded it they updated by adding “routines” as something to track. You can add your own routines and save them so they’re available in the future. We added tongue-tie exercises to keep track of how many times we do them in a day. You can do the same for medicine or vaccines. It really is a great app! And what makes it even better is that it’s free. It’s better than any of the paid apps. Oh and it provides easy to read summaries if you really want to evaluate your data! Save yourself time, download this app, delete and forget about the others. This app needs to be #1 on all of the best baby tracking apps. Nothing compares.
Jäÿd,
love this app!!
im a first time mom and i have a TERRIBLE memory, so this app has been super helpful in every way. i love practically every feature, especially the breastfeeding timer and the family option to share my account with my husband. i’ve looked at other baby apps but this one was my favorite, aesthetic wise. the other ones were confusing to me, but the simpleness of nara baby is perfect. and i love the widget option for home screens! the “last diaper change time” and “last feeding time” has kept me well informed in my sleepiness and forgetfulness. id rate more stars if i could!

coming back to review this review, there is one thing i would love to be changed in the app. whenever i start a timer for breastfeeding, it says last feeding time was at the beginning of the timer instead of when the timer stopped. so sometimes when my baby eats for 20+ minutes, it’ll say last feeding was 20+ minutes ago when i just barely finished and should track from then on to when he should eat again. but what’s 20 minutes i suppose!
Flintr,
Love it!
We haven’t missed logging a bottle, nap, or diaper change since our little boy was born 4 months ago. I love that there’s no clutter, articles, ads. I feel like the other baby apps we tried were trying to build an “ecosystem” which got in the way of actually using the app. The app is easy to use, it’s quick to log something and be done, and the averages/summaries are helpful in figuring out why he’s fussy (hasn’t pooped in 36 hours, below average on sleep or oz). Dropped 1 star due to a bug where the time selector sometimes snaps back after being changed, and no native iPad app. Also, often something I log on the watch doesn’t show up on my wife’s phone until I open the iPhone app, but I think that’s more a limitation of Apple Watch APIs. Still, having the watch sync directly to the cloud instead of through the watch app would likely resolve this issue. Things to-do app is an example of a watch app that used to suffer the same problem until they had the watch communicate directly with the server via Wi-Fi/LTE instead of going through the phone. Highly recommend this app above all other baby tracking apps.
Tamlent,
Works great
This app has been a god send. I noticed my daughter having tremors and repetitive movements when she was 3 days old. I set up a routine called episodes where I could note when they happened. We couldn’t figure out what was triggering them so everything went into the app. When she slept, ate and how much and why type of formula. Diaper changes. There is a feature where all the activities of the day are put in cronologia order.

When she was 4 days old there was blood in her diaper. The app has a place where I can take pictures and put it right at the specific diaper change time and date. I guess it’s normal.

However the tremors were later diagnosed as focal epileptic seizures. This app really helped the Nurologist track and diagnose the correct medication. And the three weeks we spent in the hospital. If it were not for the app then the Nurologist wouldn’t have admitted us into the hospital where she got the test she needed and excellent care. We are seizure free, since October 12th of 2022

Reassuring, amazing app
I love the Nara app! It’s super reassuring to have all the information I need about my baby in one place. Keeping track of things like sleep and diapers are super important for my peace of mind, and the pediatrician always ask about these things! I also love that there’s a breastfeeding timer right in the app so I know exactly how long my baby is eating for on each breast. Being able to connect with family is awesome too. I’m able to see exactly what’s going on with my baby if he’s being watched by someone else while I’m at work. The trends tab to see the average hours of sleep and feeding is awesome! I like that I can add photos right into the app too. The only con I can think of is if I start the sleep timer on my phone and my partner goes to stop it on his, it often keeps going on my phone and then it’s hard to track how long the baby actually slept. This bug needs to be fixed so that the data links from one phone to another automatically. Other than that, LOVE this app!
Renseyy,
The BEST app for tracking your baby (and mom!)
We tested out a bunch of apps before the arrival of our baby and this one was the winner by far. Not only is the UI amazing, the experience is foolproof and the stat breakdown helps provide a much clearer picture (plus you can export snapshots of data and share them in a visually pleasing chart). So many other apps had annoying ads or pop up’s that got in the way of navigating the app (which is the last thing you want to be dealing with when you’re sleep deprived trying to log a feeding). This app does not bog down the experience by shoving ads down your throat. As an added bonus, we can each have our own account as “caregivers” and log things separately without needing to share login info (which we found was the case for many other apps). And lastly, if you’re a mom you can activate a section to track yourself which has been great in making sure I’m getting enough water. We cannot recommend this app enough!
myahaylee,
Like but missing items
So I really like the layout of the app and the overall look. Main reason why I chose it. Very clear and easy to see without adds and modern design elements which I appreciate.

There is a pretty clear lack of items that I would find very beneficial. Overall I think users REALLY need to be able to create their own categories/tags they want to see on the graph. It doesn’t show you a total time or any breakdown for right/left breast (a feature I loved in my previous apps) I also think there needs to be a section within sleep where i can put how long he took to fall asleep/was crying/fighting etc and where he fell asleep. I have a couple day old newborn that hates to sleep alone in his bassinet so tracking if he slept in our bed/couch or was crying/fussing for 10 mins before he finally fell asleep would be great. These things could go into notes but I would love to be able to set your own categories for the graph and summary portion.

I’m going to keep looking for a better app but in the meantime this will do. Would have 5/5 if they had these important features because I absolutely love the look and that you can invite caretakers
