Dynamic Overlap - Dynamic Overlap gives users the ability to start music first, and then start the voice intros at just the right moment, resulting in a flexible runway of music both before and after the players voice introduction. Start the music playback as soon as the previous play ends with the PLAY MUSIC button, then wait until the perfect moment when the batter is approaching the plate, and tap the PLAY VOICE button. Let the music continue until the pitcher is about to pitch, then tap STOP. With this setup, we also recommend turning on Soften Music During Voice, and setting the music for a longer duration like 60 seconds. This allows you to start the players walk-up music, and continue playing it through delays such as mound/coach visits, and yet start the voiced intro at the right moment while the music softens. When Dynamic Overlap is turned on for a player, a lightning icon will appear between the voice and music icons to the right of the player. The Dynamic Overlap toggle is located in the Edit Player screen just below the voice/music overlap sliders. When Dynamic Overlap is turned on for the Team Intro of a Pre-Game/Red Team, users can start the music with PLAY MUSIC, then begin the Team Intro when they are ready by tapping PLAY INTRO. After the Team Intro completes, a PLAY NEXT button will appear, giving the user complete control over when to start the introduction of each player, perfectly timing the voice intro for the moment the player takes the field or the court.

(Pink Apple = Apple Music, White/Black Apple = iTunes Purchased, White/Black DJ = BallparkDJ Clip).

- Auto Backup When Reordering - An automatic backup team will be created when a user orders pro-voicing on a team for which they have already ordered pro-voicing to retain the original introductions.

- Export Voice Intro with SuperVoice - An issue was fixed that was causing problems when choosing Actions > Advanced > Export Voice Intros > All Players on teams that are SuperVoice. Now each player will be exported using the first event on the SuperVoice Events team (such as Now Batting).

- Music Source Icons - A small icon was added at the upper right corner of the Music Note icon that reflects the music source for each player. This allows users or BallparkDJ support staff to quickly identify the source of each players song without visiting the Edit Music screen. A pink Apple reflects that the song is downloaded through an Apple Music subscription. A white/black Apple reflects a purchased iTunes song. A white/black DJ logo reflects the song is a BallparkDJ Clip. And if no icon exists at the top right of the note, then the song is from an External Source.

- Fixed an issue where the overlap between the Event and the Number when playing players on the gold/SuperVoice team would not be set properly, resulting in a long time gap between recordings.

- Voice and Music Toggles - Two new convenient toggle buttons have been added to the Edit Player screen to toggle Voice or Music off. These toggles are located just to the right of the Edit buttons and are only present if music and/or voice has been setup for that player. These buttons allow user to turn off the music or voice for some period, while retaining the details of the music or voice when they are reactivated.

- Turn Music Audio OFF - A new toggle titled “Turn Music Audio OFF” is now available in the Actions > Team Settings screen. This will turn off music for all players, while retaining the details of the music on all players (such as start, length, overlap with voice and relative volume). To restore the music for all players, simply toggle this option back OFF. This option might be convenient when playing in tournaments which do not allow music.

Voice Effects are also now shared when sharing teams, so any Voice Effects that are active (whether Team or System) will now be shared to the recipient.

- Team Backup: Remind Me Next Time - When prompted to backup your team, a new option is available to “Remind Me Next Time” which will result it BallparkDJ prompting you to backup your team the next time you open your team. This is in addition to the Remind Me Next Week option which will wait another week before prompting for backup.

- Edit Music Length Feedback - In the Edit Music screen, feedback is now displayed in red text during playback to reflect the time into playback, and to help users determine their desired length of play for music. This is in addition to the feedback that has always been displayed in blue text that reflects the time offset into the full song. The time is displayed in format 12.3 with 12 reflecting seconds and 3 reflecting tenths of a second. If the song is setup to begin at 34.0 and play for 20.0 seconds, the top blue counter will start at 34.0 and play up to 54.0 during playback while the bottom (smaller red) counter will start at 0.0 and play up to 20.0.

- Sharing Team Check – when sharing, ordering, or backing up a team, we check to see if the team has a more recent version on the server and provide options

- Soften Music on Pre-Game Team - When the "Soften Music During Voice" is turned on for the Team Intro player of a red/pre-game team, that Soften Music settings is now retained and honored throughout the playback of all the players during the continuous playback.

- Default Music Length of 20 Seconds - The default duration/length of music when selecting a new song for a player is now 20 seconds. In the past, the default length was of 9 or 10 seconds. - QuickPlay - SuperVoice just got even better with the introduction of QuickPlay. QuickPlay is available on gold/SuperVoice teams and is designed to expedite the playback sequence of SuperVoice by repeating the playback choices of the prior player. If QuickPlay is turned on and setup with Event "Now Batting", then "Now Batting" will be used automatically for the next player without presenting the list of events. QuickPlay also reflects the other previous SuperVoice choices such as "Include Team Name" and "No Music". To edit the Event and other choices of QuickPlay, simply tap on the Event displayed at the bottom of the list of players (just above the Actions menu). To override QuickPlay for a single player (while leaving QuickPlay choices in place), simply long-tap on a player and the SuperVoice Events and other choices will be presented just as in SinglePlay. QuickPlay is turned on by clicking on the Single Play / Cont Play button at the bottom right of the team. When QuickPlay is turned on, you will see QuickPlay in the bottom right of screen highlighted in green.

- Team Backup - You may now be prompted to backup your teams to the server to ensure the latest version of your teams will be recoverable when moving to another device. The backup message will read “Your team has changes that have not been backed up to our server. Would you like to back up your team now?” This backup prompt will only appear for teams that are owned by you, which means they were created by you and are associated with the email you used with BallparkDJ. The prompts will occur if it has been more than a week since you last backed up your team, AND only if BallparkDJ detects you have made any changes to your team. Changes to your team would include adding players, editing player details such as song or overlap, or even changing song details such as start time or duration.

- Share to Support - We have added a convenient way for users to easily share their team with BallparkDJ Support while including all the relevant information Support might need to diagnose issues, including App Version, iOS Version, Song Diagnostics, and more. When choosing Actions > Share Team, a new "Send to Support" option is now available (in red). This option will compose an email addressed to [email protected]. If you have any additional details you would like to share, such as the support ticket that prompted this sharing if applicable, please type those in at the top of the email prior to sending.

- Fade In Music - A new "Fade In Music" option has been added to the Edit Music screen. This option mirrors the Fade Out Music option, easing into the volume as the music starts. This feature is especially useful when beginning the song anywhere other than the very start of the song. The music will fade in over a 2 second period. This feature requires the music to be setup to start at least 1 second before the voicing.

- Player Photo During Playback - A new option to "Show Player Photo" is available in Actions > Team Settings. When this is turned on, the player photo, if available, will be shown during playback of the players intro. Team Photos can be attached to players in the upper left corner of the Edit Player screen (accessible by clicking on the mic/note icons to the right of each player).

- Random Shuffle Playback - A new "Random Shuffle" option is now available in Actions > Advanced > Sort Team. When Random Shuffle is turned on, the players will be played in random order during Continuous Play. This feature will be especially useful for teams setup to play entire songs for pre-game and between inning music. Such teams can now be setup easily with the Import From Playlist/Album feature in the Actions > Advanced Menu.

- Show App Version in Title Bar - The app version is now displayed to the right of the BallparkDJ logo in the title/navigation bar at top of each screen. The version will show up in black and white when the app is up to date with the latest version, and it will show in red when there is a more recent version of BallparkDJ on the App Store.

- Play/Stop Button Improvements - The Play/Stop buttons in the Edit Player screen were improved and redesigned. The play button with both the mic and note icons will play the voice and music together, the play button with the mic plays just the voice, and the play button with the note plays just the music. These buttons change to STOP buttons during playback.

- Cont Play Full Song Issue - Fixed an issue that was preventing songs from playing during playback of teams setup on Continuous Play, with songs from Apple Music set to Play Full Song.

- Dark/Light Color Theme Mode - BallparkDJ will now has a Dark Mode color theme option in Actions > System settings. Options include Auto, Light, and Dark. When Auto is selected, the color theme will reflect the color them of the phone/iOS in Settings > Display & Brightness. If their Light or Dark mode is selected, that mode will be used regardless of the settings of the phone. Dark Mode not only looks cool, but it's easy on the eyes and saves battery life. - Long Read - The Order Page now provides a Long Read option for Order Type, in addition to Standard, SuperVoice, and Pregame. The Long Read order type should be used for longer / customized reads that do not fit the standard single player introduction format, such as customized sportsmanship reads. - 2-Tap Pre-Loading - We have improved the 2-Tap process to help reduce and minimize the playback delay when tapping the play button. After tapping the player, BallparkDJ immediately begins doing any work it possibly can (such as pre-loading the music and applying Voice Effects) so that once the PLAY button is tapped with the 2nd tap, everything is ready to go and the delay from that point is minimized. The PLAY button will show a "Loading" message at the bottom right while the pre-loading process is active. 2-Tap mode now has the advantages of preventing accidental taps, confirmation of proper selection, eliminating clipping of intros (by waking up speaker), and now minimizing the delay during playback. TampabaseballMom,
Great product
We bought this app for our eight-year-old baseball travel team. The boys absolutely loved it. They chose different music from iTunes for their walk on songs and had so much fun. The best part though is definitely having the professional announcer say the boys numbers and names. Although this is about three dollars extra per Player it is totally worth it! It makes it so much more professional. The app is easy to use and I absolutely love it. We sync with a Bluetooth speaker at any of the parks that we go to. The only improvement I wish is that it would be nice to be able to slide the players up and down in the lineup for when there are lineup changes but this is minor since you can work around it with a few extra clicks. Love this app!

We have been using this app for over a year and it has gotten even better! Now you can slide the lineup around under the edit function, can add just a few additional players for voicing (when kids join the team or guest play), voicing turnaround time is fantastic and with the iPad update we use that so any mom at the game can run it rather than just though my phone...just keeps getting better!
Grissom09,
Perfect App, even better customer service
I have been using this app for about 2 years now for travel baseball. Recently, I decided to purchase the voiceover for the intros and I was not disappointed. The quality is unquestionable and it’s great that it comes from a MLB stadium announcer. When I tried it myself, my voice sounded like a dying wildebeest and there was no way I was going that route.

The app is very simple to use and I love how you can overlap the announcer/music and control the song to exactly your liking. It quickly displays your music already on your device, with various ways to organize songs.

I recommend this to any coach out there, as the kids love hearing their names out loud followed by their favorite song. In the two years of using this, not once has it crashed or suffered from ‘bugs’.

More importantly I wanted to stress the unbelievable service I received from the developer and Mr. Motter. I purchased 13 voice intros roughly 3 days ago and just noticed hours before game time I put the wrong number on a player. I emailed my issue expecting at least a couple of days to get it fixed, but they fixed it within the hour! Casey Motter even followed up to ensure the accuracy, you don’t get that service in these times. I can’t thank you guys enough and I highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone. Money well spent!

Thanks Again,
Go Nats!

FANTASTIC Customer Service
I’ve been using Ballpark DJ to play walk-up songs for my sons baseball team for a couple seasons now and it’s extremely user friendly. My daughter just started softball and I volunteered to do walk-up songs for her team as well using BallparkDJ and they requested voicing intros on top of the walk-up songs which was new to me. I didn’t realize that you could record your own voicing along with the option to order professional voicing so I went ahead and ordered professional voicing. When I realized I didn’t have to buy professional voicing after the fact, Ballpark DJ’s support team (Jack specifically) was extremely supportive and very quick to reply to my questions and needs.
I will recommend this app to literally everyone who needs this kind of service! Top quality app for sure.
Alanya M.,
Outstanding Customer Service
Not going to lie, the app for me was a little tricky. I got the basics down and have it doing what I need to do, but it’s capable of so much more. I ordered the pro-voicing, have some of the walk up songs loaded and it sounds great. You can select the size of the song, fade the music, soften the music during the announcement and also set an order for the announcement and the music. It’s a really cool app and I’m enjoying it. Only have one gliche sometimes the music won’t play, but I reached out to support and they are already looking into it. Customer service is extremely responsive and helpful. Also, my pro-voicing was done in less than 24 hours. Thank you Chad & Ballpark DJ! I highly recommend this app the $6.99 for the app and the $ for the pro-voicing is worth it!
Shauna in Shady Shores,
Best boost for our team
I purchased this not sure how well it was going to be. I had purchased a different one and it wasn’t what I thought it was going to be at all. This app is so easy to navigate. Chad is very easy to work with and you can tell he really cares about the consumer and will go out of his way to make it work. I contacted him last minute needing 2 new players added. There were some technical issues on his end and he sent me his personal number and asked me to call him and we would get it set up. He went above and beyond. I suggest getting the team intro. Everyone in the stands went wild when I played it. I had other teams asking me what app I was using because it sounded so good and professional. The boys loved hearing their name and the song of their choice as they walked up to the plate. Will use again and again. Thank you Chad!
Jdog24,
Almost a Home Run
When you purchase a song from iTunes this isn’t an issue and the app is awesome. However the issue is with songs not purchased but used through Apple Music. It does NOT give you the option to soften music (granted they do list this as a drawback) but when you do use songs they have a tendency to drown out the audio intros even when the setting is at max for intro vs music.

This doesn’t happen all the time and doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason for the issue. I play it once and can’t hear the intro. I stop it again and no issue.

Obviously I can’t trust this in a game so having to buy every song for over 60 kids isn’t cost effective. I don’t see the issue why this can’t be an option if you download it to your library on your phone. Why will a song bought from same source work

I’ll start by saying, this is my first ever app review and i’ve used apple products for over ten years now. That’s how incredible this app is! If you’re reading this and trying to determine which app to get for your team’s walk-up music, stop reading and get this app now!

This app is so user friendly, so intuitive, SO SIMPLE to set-up, you’d think it wouldn’t meet ALL of your needs, BUT IT DOES. I started by using my own voice to announce the players and it was easy to do and honestly sounded great. Being able to very easily edit where you want the song to start and exactly where you want the players name to be announced was great as well.

But being able to add the actual voice of the Braves announcer for each kid made this app jump into the “pro” category! Others have commented on this as well, but the turn-around time to get the recordings back was just THREE HOURS!!! That kind of customer service simply doesn’t exist anymore. Thank you Casey Motter!!! (Atlanta Braves announcer) And thank you app developers!

I do not know the developers or anyone associated with them or Casey Motter. This is a genuine Golden 5-Star recommendation for this app. Well done guys, and again, thank you!

Not dependable
I got asked by parents to do walk up songs for our team. Our 8-9year olds wanted walk up songs. I found this app, downloaded it, then had to pay for the upgrade since we have 10 players. I’m only doing songs, not doing announcements so I can’t comment as to how that part works. I have used this at 2 games so far and the app is glitchy. It will NOT work on certain players. Each time they come to bat I feel awful because I check the app songs at home before the game and it works. I email myself the link so I can use it on my iPad and have my phone free to do pics/videos of the game. The iPad is tested at home to make sure the songs play through and usually works at home. At the game, after using it for a few hours at a time it doesn’t work consistently. To pay $7 bucks for the app and not have it work like a well oiled machine has really turned me off from this. I’m embarrassed each time a kid walks up and it’s crickets for him 😞 Please, please fix this.

Must-have app for any baseball team
This is really one of the coolest things I have ever used. I purchased the premium package, which is very reasonably priced, and Johnny created the most awesome announcing experience I have ever heard. I think that every possible scenario is covered. It truly sounds like we have a professional announcer at every game calling all of the plays. The kids (and their parents) absolutely love it. I would highly, highly recommend this program. For a few extra dollars, get the premium package and have Johnny set it all up for you. I’m so glad I did. He is awesome! It is so much better than I could ever dream, and simple to use. You will not be disappointed. Teams approach me at every tournament and ask where I got it. Such a cool experience for everyone!
