Description
Barouche is a trick-taking card game popular in communities around the world. The game uses a standard deck, but with 2s, 3s and 4s removed. Four players form 2 teams, with partners sitting across from each other. Each player is dealt 9 cards, plus 4 cards for the widow in the middle of the table. An auction bid begins at 30, for the right to name the trump suit. The high bidder swaps out cards with the widow, then leads a trump. During the tricks phase, Aces are high, 5s are worth 5 points, 10s and Aces are worth 10 points. The other cards are worth nothing. The high bidder's team needs to meet or exceed its high bid.
