Great base game but…
The base game, I absolutely adore. The freedom of placing your units wherever gives rise to a lot of strategies That feel free form. I’m currently ranked around 2400 which I assume is decently high since every enemy I find has units sometimes leveled up twice the level of mine. I was able to get pretty high decently fast despite this, but I feel like I’m at a point where it’s just ridiculous. I feel as thought there isn’t as many ways for a Free to play like me to really compete at this point, unless you want to watch 3 ads every 12 or so hours. And this doesn’t event guarantee making your armies stronger. The variety of units is amazing but the fact you have to level them up so high to even be viable really just discourages or makes it impossible to try some strategies. The fact that there are so many units to choose from also becomes a bit of a hassle at higher ranks since the pool of units is higher, it means you’ll have less chances getting the units you want. TL;DR: the base game is amazing until a certain point. Now I feel like I can’t progress despite having better overall strategies.

Great game! Can play with the best with no Pay
I would like to say that, although you can pay to play it’s definitely not a game where you need to pay to compete with the good players. I like the review up right now that says this is a grossly pay to play game but them complains by paying he’s not getting enough reward. Lol. Well there you have it. You don’t just drop $200 and get to the top. I’ve been playing about 2 months now and have made it to the top level. I have bought two season passes, which I enjoy, because of the extra skins and just some extra goodies. It’s also a good game that I don’t mind supporting a little bit. Great job to the developers. I hope you continue on this great path. And for those wondering, the amount of loot in the chests scales up as you level up. It did seem like they were a little light about mid game but with a clan that can donate cards, it’s not hard to continue your path up the ranks. Definitely a game you should try out!

The algorithm is broken, even if you spend all of that money
The biggest issue with this game is that match opponents are completely random when it comes to the level of your units you are actually fighting with. Yes, it matches you with people with a similar *overall experience level*, but every unit on the field has its own level. Whether you win or lose is mostly determined by the average level of units on your field vs. your opponent’s field (you can see your opponent’s average level before the match starts). That is the biggest factor in determining a win, and there is no rhyme or reason for that matching. That means your only strategy is to highly level up one unit, and always use it. Or you lose. That becomes boring quickly - and expensive. And that’s not to mention how pricey everything is -most purchases are $50 or more, many are $84 to upgrade a unit a bit.
Edit: for fans of American football or those that have played football video games, this is exactly like calling plays… except that *any* team in *any* formation may appear in front of you when the play starts. There is no guiding information, hint, or filtering at all that allows you to put any strategy together. So the best you can do is disproportionately level up a key player or two.

You’re Joking Right?
Not sure why people enjoy this game, it’s probably one of the worst pay to wins out there. First off, their season pass lasts about 2 weeks lol. Almost every game in the planet has monthly seasons. So prepare to spend $10 a month easy. Next, the RNG is pathetic. It will tease you with a few easy opponents then team you up against 2 times the amount of unbeatable opponents. You think the more you lose the better the chance to face someone you can beat, but no. Continuing on RNG, good luck planning a team you like. The shards to upgrade are random too. So even if you are spending money on good etc. There’s a ton of different units and most of the time, you never get the ones you want, so throw planning right out the window. Another sign, of greed, to get you to buy countless chests in hopes of getting what you want. Lastly, broken units everywhere. Good luck to anyone rank 8 or so. If you don’t get barrier monk, you will be stuck there for a long time. They do nothing to balance the game. I mean barrier monk is a cool unit, but maybe make it so he only casts one barrier? If your units break the barrier and you don’t kill him quick enough, he puts up another lol. So if you think you want to play this game. Give it a try, don’t spend any money and stop playing after about a week once you reach 8.

It’s all a sham.
No matter what you do, your opponent’s AI is always better than yours. Their troops will target your most valuable ones, while yours roam around aimlessly for the most part. If you put bombs at the top of the screen, your opponents will all be at the bottom. You put bombs at the bottom, and yup, you guessed it, all of their troops are then on the top of the screen. You’ll do well enough to get on a slight roll, then you’ll hit a brick wall where you feel like you need to buy in game purchases just to keep up, only to find that you only get cards for troops you don’t use it the most ineffective troops. I got to level 11 before I got a catapult that you’re supposed to get on level 3. So I keep getting decimated by other people’s catapult... I FINALLY get one only to realize that no matter what you do, the game will make it so yours is completely ineffective and gets taken out quickly. If you manage to hang on to tough troops, your aim or target selection leaves more than a little to be desired. This is clearly made to make kids upset so they spend a ton on in-app purchases on their parents credit cards, but since they can’t stay winning, they want you to buy more and more just to remain “competitive.” Youd honestly be better off playing clash of clans or battle royale.

I was wrong with my other review
I gave an earlier review and regret it. I loved the game at first but everything went bad in a hurry. I was hugely successful at first and then got destroyed. The same thing happened this time but I didn’t quit because I had premium chests unlocking. My win percentage was 29% when I came back within those premium chests I received the two units that were the bane of my earlier existence. The Assassin and Frost Wizard both game changers. I also have a better understanding of the game and the unit abilities. But one thing I’m sure was part of my earlier issues and almost happened again I didn’t notice the achievement rewards so I’m sure I had left tons free stuff on the table. I’m not sure what happens when you change a review maybe no one will notice this, but I was wrong with my other review and at least for my own sake i needed to try and make it right. Fun game but the devs need to lower the prices a bit

I would like to start off by saying your game is a pretty enjoyable grinder. Although, it’s extremely close to a grossly abusive pay to play system I still find it pretty enjoyable. I would hope you are trying to make a financially profitable game while attempting to keep it balanced. Couple of suggestions: lower the prices or at least increase the return on wagons and packages... they are absurdly high, your holiday gifts have been a joke so far.. spin coins??? Really? The newly added corrupted powerstones are WAY WAY too common. I mean give me a break.. you already charge extremely high prices and now you’ve made the seasonal pass MUCH less valuable. I’ve already dropped 200 plus dollars on your game. It’s fun, easy to grind and passes the time.. but give back to the players a little more than you are taking. Also, if you could make the levels visible when holding your finger to the screen as well as slowing down the match and showing health bars would be appreciated.

Really Fun With Issues
This is by far my favorite game I have had the pleasure of playing on my iPhone 11. It’s simple controls make it easy for anyone to pick up and play. I do have a few issues. Characters are really hard to come by. I have noticed you get a lot of what you don’t use and less of what you do. I have also noticed I am constantly being put in battles against much higher players with way better characters. I understand all freemium games have in app purchases but I was expecting this to kick in later on in the game not right at the beginning when you are just getting introduced to the game, characters, and game mechanics. This makes the game very frustrating really quick and I am sure it turns away a lot of potential future players. The only other issue I have is the cost. It cost a lot and I mean a lot to upgrade just the common characters. I can’t even imagine how much gold it’s going to take to upgrade higher level rare cards. To me it’s a really fun game and concept thats ruined by a paywall!

Need Changes
To sum things up I’ve put a lot of money in this game because player progression is impossible if you keep losing getting gold and shards to upgrade troops is very difficult more than it should be I’ve had to pay my way up because of being under leveled or out classed with better troops as far as strategy goes there is a lot but most of it jus goes out the window when you can’t afford to change troops because you don’t have enough money to upgrade them the concept of the game is amazing although the idea of upgrading troops and needing multiple shards to upgrade jus one troop inside of it being universal for all of the same troop basically you can have a fully maxed out unit of spearman but that would only be 1 unit of spearman that would be maxed out the rest would still be level 1 when recruited to your army meaning it takes more money and shards to upgrade which leaves you with very small amounts of resources to try to figure out a good layout for your army can’t experiment since it would be to hard to even waste money on a unit your unsure of very disappointed in this game and again I have spent a lot of money on it and I’m at rank 9 which is high up it ends at 15

Some things just need to be thought over.
I have been playing this game for about a week and a half and I am a rank 7. For the most part this is a great game that I have a lot of fun playing. Most characters are well balanced and there is a way to counter every one of them. However one character stands out more than any to be a problem in all of my games that there is not a good way to counter. Plague throwers. These guys most of the time decide the game because before you get to rank 8 there is no character to stop them. The only chance you have of stopping them is if your assassins get them and that is all based on luck of placement. I just think these guys could have been put later in the game because unlocking them at rank 4 means by the time you get close to getting to rank 8 to get a counter people who use plague throwers have them at a pretty high level. This is just from my experience and I find it kills the mood when I run into these guys playing this game because I am stuck on the line of rank 7 trying to get to 8.
