Description

Beacon Connected Care gives you online access to a scheduled visit with your Beacon provider on your smartphone, tablet or computer. It is private, secure and easy. You can also have a video visit for minor urgent health care issues 24/7/365 —from your home, office or anywhere.

Many of our Beacon Medical Group doctors offer video visits, so you can see your doctor from the comfort of home using your smartphone or computer. Many of our patients are now choosing this convenient option. First, call and ask your provider to schedule a telehealth visit.

For urgent care, Beacon also extends our provider and urgent care network by partnering with the Online Care Group, the nation’s first and largest primary care group devoted to telehealth. The physicians are U.S. board-certified doctors with an average of 15 years of experience and are licensed to practice medicine in Indiana and Michigan (and most other states). You can read each doctor’s profile to learn about his or her education and experience before beginning a virtual visit. All of our providers are certified and credentialed according to the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) standards.

Services available include:
Scheduled Visits - online visits with your Beacon provider.
Online Urgent Care 24/7 - board-certified doctors, anytime, anywhere
Nutrition Counseling - scheduled visits with registered dietitians
Behavioral Health Counseling- scheduled visits with licensed counselors and psychologists

The app features include:
• No sign up or subscription fees
• Live video visits, with secure messaging features
• Beacon providers, U.S. board-certified physicians, licensed physician assistants and nurse practitioners, registered dietitians, and licensed counselors and psychologists
• Prescriptions as appropriate
• Online credit card payment

If you use Apple Health, you can choose to share your health information with the doctor during your video visit, such as heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, blood glucose levels, weight, nutritional information, and respiratory rate.

Very helpful information.
My son is sick with a virus and I already took him to his pediatrician. She determined it to be a virus, but he has new symptoms today that are not serious. I just needed to get advice on over the counter symptom relief medicine and didn’t want to wait on hold then wait for the nurse to call back. I also thought of new questions as I was speaking with the doctor and he answered them. This visit was extremely helpful. I love our pediatrician, but this was a quick and easy way to get the advice I needed.

Enjoyed this new way
I didn’t have to drive and rush to my appointment. No worries of being stuck by trains, farm equipment, construction, where to park or weather issues. There was a little technical issue reason for giving a 4 & not a 5. It did froze once but only 5 sec. or so, but never had any strange voices, not echoes, picture was clear. I have used others live stream apps. This was easy to use. Hopefully I will be able to use this app again for a live appointment.

Oh, if needed, another person could be added to the call if needed you would want to them to be live with you, but didn’t pick that option.

So convenient AND saves money
I just used this app for the first time. I would have waited more than three hours for an in-person visit according to Beacon’s “save my spot” process. Instead I got the app, took a photo of my poor sore throat, provided some basic info and waited about 15 minutes snuggled under my covers at home. My doctor was great and my husband is already picking up my RX. It’s a cost savings too as the visit is only $59. Highly recommend the service.

So easy and convenient!
This app and its option for virtual health care visits makes it so much easier to get the little things taken care of! No more dragging my kids to the urgent care to wait hours to be seen. It’s a little more costly than a co-pay, but for the convenience of it I would much rather pay the higher price! I’d give this a 10/5 if I could!

I travel, and this is great!
I’m on the road quite a bit and having this option is excellent. I just sat in an office in my place of business and spoke to the doctor. She was professional, kind and informative . She sent my meds to the nearest pharmacy and I’ll be back to full strength soon!

Flu
I have the flu. Do you know how awful it is to try to get out of bed shower get dressed and go to the doctor. But in about 15 minutes still in my sick clothes and not looking so great. I was seen by a doctor and a script was called in and I’m back in bed. On to getting better. Thank you very much.

Easy to use and convenient
I had a wedding in two days and got a sinus infection. Was very busy and didn’t have time to wait in an urgent care center. Was able to call and quickly be connected with a doctor to get a prescription quickly.

As a mom with 3 children who are all on break, this was amazing! It was so easy to use and the Dr. was so nice and straightforward. I didn’t have to lug all 3 kids to the doctor with various items to keep them occupied. I love this app and this service!

Works every time I've used it and doctors are always nice and helpful. I also love that I can share my daughter's profile between my account and my husband's account!
