Ever wondered what that UK bumblebee was in your garden? Bee ID helps you successfully identify any UK bumblebee, based on a range of 14 features such as pollen sacs, number of abdomen stripes or wing colour. Quick and easy to use, Bee ID progressively filters out bumblebees with each feature selected, until you are left with a small selection. A positive identification is possible even from a limited set of features, so you don't necessarily have to have a perfect view of the bumblebee, or a microscope!

Bee ID uses a comprehensive database of 91 colour forms of the 25 British bumblebees. You can browse photos, and a description for each species, plus see a list of their identifying features. 1. Quick switching between large images using the buttons at the bottom of the screen. This had been requested by several users and saves having to go back to the bee information page to be able to select another picture to look at in more detail.
2. Synchronisation of sighting details between devices logged into the same iCloud account. For those lucky enough to have multiple devices your sighting records will now automatically be copied between devices that are using the same iCloud account.
3. On devices that support 3D Touch pressing will allow quick access to the Species, Filter or Sightings pages.
4. Searching from the home screen of the iPhone/iPad will search in the Bee ID app for Bumblebee species and provide a quick link to the Species page within app.
