Beep Training is a different way to run.
Workouts are brief and upbeat. You run the same short distance (called a 'shuttle') at different speeds.
By selecting an appropriate shuttle length (8 - 20 metres) workouts are easily tailored to different abilities and fitness levels, so it is up to you how far and fast you push yourself.
Although based on the famous Beep Test (and the similar Yo Yo Test), crucially, Beep Training is not a one-size-fits-all approach. There are lots of workouts and lots of flexibility.
Many workouts begin with a brisk walk, so making a start shouldn't be a problem. Start with a suitable shuttle length and improve from there!
Challenging yourself will improve your anaerobic capacity (i.e., get fitter and stronger), improve your running form, and burn fat and calories.
Results and progress are easy to monitor, which is great for setting goals and pushing past previous results.
You can work out almost anywhere; you need 8 to 20 metres of flat surface, the app, a tape measure, and a motivated you!
In addition to lots of workouts, the app also contains commonly used versions of the Beep Test and the Yo Yo Test.
