The collection of Berlinische Galerie presents itself with 250 works as a diverse tour of 100 years of art created in Berlin. The tour stretches from the academic painting of the late 19th century via expressionism and the eastern European avant-garde to the architecture of postwar modernism and the “wild” painting of the 1970s.
