We’ve built a brand new social app to help put smiles on teen’s faces.

Yes, our teen faces - especially on those difficult days.

We all know these days when out of the blue something bad happens crushing our day. Leaving us devastated.

Now it’s evening, sitting in our rooms with the lights out on the bed crying out for ‘Emotional Support’ from our best friends as we listen to those songs we always listen to in these times.

But, our friends have no idea all this is happening - because we didn’t tell them because we’re just not ready to talk yet.

So they can’t help us. No emotional support, no caring, no understanding. None of it.

We struggle alone.

We’re a group of over 120 high school and college kids that are just like you.

We’re working under the National Science Foundation through the iCAP program at George Mason and George Washington Universities finding a way to fix all this.

1) Everyone has bad days. We found after talking to hundreds of teens worldwide that after something bad happens they most often just want to be by themselves for a while before talking to friends. But, the problem is that if your most trusted and loyal friends do not know that anything is wrong, they can not give you emotional support. We solve this problem with our [CareHearts] feature.

2) Introducing CareHearts. Our unique feature that lets your friends send you 'Emotional Support' during those alone times in the form of; virtual hugs, blowing kisses high into the air, let them know you're thinking about them, or asking them to just shake their phone and see a happy image you just sent or maybe just send them the name of that song you listen to over and over to on sad days - it is so simple.

3) Remember the last time you had a huge fight with a friend or romantic partner - the feelings were overwhelming. Find comfort in our [Drama] feature helping you relax, analyze the situation and how to reach out first to fix this mess.

4) Check our our cool new [Journal] feature. It is simple and straight-forward.

The BestFriends app really does not work without your friends. Since teens have only 3 or 4 highly trusted and very close friends we limited the app to allowing you to invite only your five best friends (this may increase following user feedback). So, ask friends to download BestFriendsNetwork from the App Store and get started building closer, more resilient and even happier friendships.
