Nanzeeeeeee,
Love but Really miss
This app is great for memorizing scripture. I love the part where you read the verse and fill in the blanks and more blanks appear until you find you have memorized the whole thing. It has MANY good features such as being able to record the verse. I used it all the time until it was updated and the beautiful image of following Christ up the stairs to enter the site was discontinued and the verses I had memorized were no longer in my memorized folder. If that image was restored I would probably use it again, even though I would have to go back and add all the verses I had memorized. Without it, the app seems unfinished and somehow loses its appeal. There is a feature where you can restore your old files, but I think I may have downloaded the app twice looking for that image I liked, and then lost them. No one else should have that problem.
tulip-1,
Great but a long time bug hurts it
I have been using this for several years. It is VERY versatile: add your own verses; organize everything by folders; GREAT testing abilities with text removal or hide all text.
Only 1 issue: there is a point where you try to indicate a Scripture is a target, favorite or memorized and when doing so the app crashes. Therefore - I am not receiving a true representation of what I have learned. This may have something to do as a combination of the verses being an addition (not in original library) and crossing a threshold (exceed either adding so many custom verses and/or a threshold in number of verses memorized).
Only work-around is to use folders to track those verses as memorized - even if they are not in the memorized folder.
I had written to the developer but did not receive a response and the latest May 2020 bug fix has not resolved.
Otherwise - this app is OUTSTANDING and a great tool - better than the old days of Navigators memory card systems and 3x5 cards!
cbella2272,
Great...if I could see!
I am really enjoying this app-I especially love the easy to use (and navigate!) organizational aspects! My issue is that when I put a verse in, the text are is so dark and the text itself is also dark so it is very difficult to read (it’s fine once the verse is saved). But if I do need to fix a word, when I go to the edit option the text area AND the text is all white so I can’t see anything at all to make changes! Very frustrating-especially for someone who makes silly mistakes (hitting o instead of i for example)!!
It could be because I have my iPhone set to “dark mode”. I may change that and see if it helps.
Other than that issue-This app is wonderful for helping me to organize and memorize scripture!
Dabber33,
Bible verses
I love it. Can you do a similar app? Name it Bible Verse Folders. Let us name our folders and arrange them alphabetically. Let us enter our our own favorites. Maybe even include a button linking to Bible Gateway. I like what I see when I open my individual folders. I love my own folder names. I don’t like that when I paste my verse it says the verse is already there and wants me to give it a different address.
I want to paste favorite translation and perhaps to even paste some commentary. I like the simplicity of the app! Don’t need graphics!
Lost email Sondra,
Love this App!
I have had so much fun memorizing my favorite Bible verses these past few days!
This is a well designed, carefully thought out Scripture Memorization app!
I downloaded this app 2 days ago, and it is rapidly becoming one of my favorites!
The features that allow the user to cut and paste verses from their favorite Bible Version, create verse categories, arrange the categories in a chosen order, and then arrange the verses in each category into Biblical order, or any order they prefer are very easy to navigate.
I especially like the Word Removal practice tool, in that it offers choices to eliminate just the words with either 1 letter, or 2 letters, or 3 letters, for levels of increasing difficulty. The added feature of being able to tap each “missing word line” one word at a time to reveal that word makes it a great memorization tool.
Also, the iCloud backup for automatically transferring all my verses to my other devices is another plus.
This is a well designed, very useful and fun way of “hiding God’s Word in your heart!”
tevans45,
Best scripture memory app
I’ve tried several scripture memory apps and this is the simplest and easiest to use. It feature four of the most widely used translations, and it has an incredibly wide range of verses already installed, plus the ability to easily add others.

Many are grouped into the same categories used by the NAV Topical Memory System, so if you’ve used that, you’ll enjoy being able to use those same groupings.

The flash card feature is great too. This is an excellent tool for memorizing scripture.
kiz2015,
Thank you!
I’m in the process of cleaning off an older iPad and transferring files. I had version 2.5.0 installed there and had not used it for quite some time (not sure why — I kind of got away from memorization in general, I guess). When it came time to decide whether or not to try to salvage my verses, I assumed that since it was so old, it had been removed from the App Store. I was excited to see it’s still available and appears to be better than ever. Looking forward to using it.
Dlrh,
Thank you
This app works well to act as a tool to memorize scripture. It is better than than notecards around the house or in the bottom of a bag. I find that I look at my phone a million times a day- it makes good sense to put my "cards" in it. I like that I can cut and paste scripture from a bible app to add a verse not listed or make that minor change bible version uses. The only thing better would be to have my targeted verse show up as a reminder or be able to be set to the home screen. Thank you.
Oil_Finder,
Missing verses
I have used this app for a number of years and was impressed with its features.
Recently however I am missing verses in my many saved folders.
On the folders page I see the name of the folders and each one shows the count of verses in that folder. When I select and view the folder they are not all there.
Disappointing after the many hours of work to set this up.
Scotishsunrise,
Good Memorization Tool, Flexible Verse List
I love the premise of this app and the fill-in-the-blank mechanism it provides. It defaults to the KJ version of the verses, but there are 3 additional versions available via the in-app settings. The various versions are not immediately apparent from the flashcard view, but the version can be adjusted from the main menu. The mechanism for adding verses is also not accessible from verse list section, but can also be accessed via the main menu. I love the flexibility of adding my own verses I'd like to memorize.
