So far so good
I haven’t matched with anyone yet as it’s only been a few days since joining. I have a few cons so far, we’ll, not really cons but glitches. I am seeing profiles that says that someone is one mile away but when you click on their profile, it shows that they are in another State. Another one that I found is that when you sign up, it makes you write a description but I have seen pages that have no description. One suggestion that I would make is for the maker to require two photos. When you sign up, it makes you send in a verification photo, I don’t understand how people are able to get verified, when their profile picture is a side face photo or they have on a mask. Last thing, the daily, multiple day “reminder to upgrade” messages are super annoying. Just when you think you have a message from a match, it’s the app sending you a reminder and when you try to delete it, it doesn’t really delete. I do like how they approve profiles quickly and the process is user friendly.

So far so good
I just joined last night and had high hopes for this app being better than most dating sites. It had a lot of glitches. Most matches were people who were far out. Not enough matches in your local area. I believe once they get all the kinks out this would be a good app. It said I had no car but didn’t give me the option to change. It also don’t let you say what you want in your about you and will correct it for you. It says you have messages when you don’t. I may try it again at some point but it made me frustrated more than anything. I know they are trying to make it good but it needs some more work. I was hopeful because it was for us by us. You would refresh and it would still show the same thing, even after closing it out. So I deactivated my account. I wasn’t on a good 24hrs. Guess this is my sign to stay off dating apps because this was draining. I hope they get it fixed so you can really enjoy the experience. But this wasn’t. I see a lot of 4 and 5 starts but I don’t see why unless they paying and getting something different. I wanted to test it before purchasing. I’m glad I didn’t because I would have been very upset.

Definitely different in a good way
The app popped up in one of my searches. I had never heard of it and thought maybe it’s a good thing. My first impression is I love the process. The process of signing up isn’t as easy as the rest, they are very particular which is wonderful. You have to answer questions that require thought and not just an easy answer. Your BIO has to be a certain length and approved which I love. In my opinion because of the process it will weed out the ones that are not serious because it requires time and when you are invested you take the time that is needed. I have not met anyone as of yet not many options near me but it does open it up for the possibility of meeting someone that is further out which is also a good thing. Overall I am enjoying the site.

Cautiously Optimistic
I used to be on this app a few years ago and even though I didn’t have much luck finding anyone on here, I’m giving it another try. I’m usually cautious with most dating apps because they’re a lot of people looking to post games and aren’t serious about finding someone to date. But I’m an optimistic person so I still believe the right woman for me is out there somewhere. The app itself is good, you don’t have too many apps catered to finding black love, so this app catering to a specific niche is great. Back when I first used this app, there were a few glitches or bugs that had to be worked out due to it being new, hopefully those glitches have been corrected and the experience on this app is better. I’m looking for real love, I hope to find that using this app.

Waste of time
The site is a waste of time. For the 5th day in a row no matches within 200 miles of my metro area. When you have the free account you get multiple hits in a few hours. Once you upgrade, you find out none of them live anywhere nearby. They boast about being the #1 black dating app and I think this is a ploy to capture those who are truly still looking for black love. I even set the age requirement well above and below my preference (32-56) just to see the results and nothing. Maybe this site is better in larger black markets like DC, ATL or Houston. After being on for a week, I believe the positive reviews are false, the registration process gives the air of exclusivity and quality which may be true for the 10 people on here. All of this in my opinion makes this a money grab/scam. At least Match and other sites at least have enough people on them to give you a daily selection to browse through and gives some hope. RBL does nothing.

The main problem with the same three apps I usually go to is lack of information from men’s profiles. It’s usually one pic and a bio that says “will fill out later” although they’ve been on the app for months or years.
This one is different as you fill out everything to prevent catfishing. I’m not exactly sure if that’s 100% but if it keeps from dealing with men with empty profiles I am all for it.
Im still new to this app so for now I’ll give four stars. If I can go back in, say, three months in which I have more user experience I’ll let you know if the fifth star will be forthcoming.

Ehh still on the fence
One of the things that I do love about this app is that it’s required to fill out your profile completely. Typically I don’t talk to someone if they have a blank profile so it’s nice to know that the men on here actually took the time to write some thing out. With that being said, I still found a couple of blank profiles, and I don’t know if it was a glitch, or some lazy men found a way around it.
I may be interested in paying for the paid version but I’m still looking around to see if the quality of men is worth me even paying for a subscription.

For some reason, the men on this site have more complete, thoughtful profiles. You can see they have put effort into finding a good match for themselves and don’t seem to just be trolling for any woman. Most profiles aren’t vague and have multiple pictures.
There aren’t as many matches as with other sites but it’s because it’s not recycled profiles from men who just cast a wide net, and I love that. The guys on here seem genuine and that’s a great place to start.

Decent app
So far I haven’t seen too much that I don’t like about this app. I do like the fact that before using the app you have to be verified. Bios must be filled out as well which is a great plus. I hate scrolling through profiles with no context on the person. I like that there are lots of users shown in my area as well. I don’t like the fact that after I was approved and started browsing I noticed two messages in my in ox but the usernames and content were hidden until I pay for a subscription. I don’t exactly want to pay for anything that I’m not guaranteed to enjoy. But other than that so far so good.

Interesting yet frustrating
I have had this app for a few days and I am patience wading in the free version of it before I spend invest. Not sure if better is on the other side just yet. What I do know is that the is the first app we’re I get nothing but black males and I love that for me. This give the app a bonus! The information that is shared is helpful too even though it feels like nobody is reading profiles. That is more of a human error than the app though. It’s frustrating to have my age presence and my distances presences, which is at minimum 100 miles, why is that?, ignored. I keep getting 20 something year olds who are 200 miles away. This is just not practical and I know God doesn’t want me to marry a 25 year old 😭
