Great activity BUT I wish you could tap to go to the next definition so I could look again at my choices
Not able to see my percentage of correct answers

I enjoy the game quite a bit but ask that in the next update please once the question is answered use the word in a sentence and/or allow the word to remain on the screen for further review especially if the question was answered incorrectly. Also I have noticed on several questions the same word will appear in the answer section twice which could possibly be fixed by utilizing more words in the game. Like I said I do really enjoy the game and am looking forward to many updates and many more endless hours of perfecting my vocabulary.

This could go to 4 or 5 stars but needs a bit more work. I like this concept. However, I've had this app for a couple of weeks and on at least 5 occasions, I've selected the correct word only to receive a red X. I then click the 3 incorrect words accumulating 3 more red Xes and finally return to my original - correct- answer and it is accepted. Meanwhile I've accumulated 4 BAD points. That's not right! That's a correctible bug, yes? Also, I think u should set this up as a game. Player can choose a 25, 50, 75, or 100 word game format. Perhaps u also let players choose game time length (2 - 5 - 10 minutes). And perhaps you even let player accumualate points (good and bad) Here's the important part, at the end of each game the player can choose to review all of the correct words and their definitions in the just completed game. Sometimes I choose the correct word only because I know that it's not one of the other three! But that really doesn't help me learn the word. Please keep working on this App. Thanks!

I always look for applications to learn new vocabulary words. I was at first excited about this, but after the first play, I was so disappointed. This application started out with a great idea and a creative design. The problems, like many others have said, are (1) annoying repetitions of problems, and each time you start the game, you see the same sequence again, (2) lack of levels of difficulty ( I got 90% of the problems right, and I want some more challenging problems) (3) No explanation of incorrect answers (4) You can't re-do the problem if you get it incorrect, (5) The words selected for each problems are not close in meaning, one can actually guess the answer easily. I think the developer has a long way to improve this wonderful application. I don't mind paying for something worthkeeping, if there is a useful update, I like to pay for it. :)

Nice idea, nice app but:

- forget the hole- it's a pain and useless effort- make it a tapper
- shuffle the words each time it's opened for crying out loud- who wants to repeat the list over & over again?
- if wrong choice, TEACH... show right one... or provide a 2nd choice or something...
- enable competition by keeping track of right and wrong choices
- would be excellent for other languages e.g. english definition -> spanish words/phrases etc.

Diversions like this are far, far more interesting on the subway or waiting for an appointment etc. than all the boing-boing games out there.... THANK-YOU! Keep improving this great game... even my kids who normally don't like anything that smells academic like this idea...

I like this app/game as I have always been a student of vocabulary. A few things could be changed to make this better:

- why do we need to drag the word to that hole? I'd be happier tapping?

- why do we not get a chance to correct any incorrect attempts?

- some of the alternate words are not even close to the correct word so its not much of a challenge.

- why do we see the same definitions again once we've gotten them correct? Need more time before we see repeasts

- might be nice to report some stats such as avg time torespond, total correct/incorrect words, etc.

I could probably come up with 5-10 more improvements, but this would be a nice start.

I enjoy this app, although the educated person will see the green check mark every time, it is a simple application, which at times makes you think, "I know the word, but I have never seen it defined in that way".
It does repeat words answered correctly quite a lot (especially if you're playing it for more than 5 minutes) but the app is free, and I believe this application was designed for a simple, pick up here and there to review some simple unused vocabulary.

As an educator, the App Store has a wealth of interactive "programs" designed especially to be used as tools for teaching. These educational apps are 1) Very helpful in aiding with classroom discussion on a wide variety of subject matter; 2) Fun projects for students to do; and 3) A good source of educational "thinking fuel"in general! The BLANKS app seems to smear the strict demarcation line between the instructor and their class, because it challenges not only the student, but faculty as well! BLANKS is guaranteed to broaden your vocabulary base and, stimulate your deductive reasoning skills as well. Enjoy

I like this app. Not only is it free but it also let's you use other skills than your vocab. You can deduce the words, which is always good to practice. I like to be reminded of vocabulary and different ways I can express myself. I give this app 4 stars because I would like to see my percentage right and wrong, a difficulty level, and a list of the words so I can check off words that are repeated too many times or if I know themby heart.

Surprisingly i actually started to get into this game... The Idea is very simple but for some reason i couldnt pull myself away...I don't like how sometimes the word is in the definition that annoys me and it also puts the same word twice at the bottom, so u almost kno those aren't going to be the right words... All in all pretty good...just keep giving us updates with new words and i'll keep playing it!!
