Pronunciation experts know that this is excellent
As someone who has been teaching people to speak English effectively and intelligibly for more than two decades, I highly recommend this excellent app! Both the app and the Color Vowel approach on which it is based is a game changer for teachers and students. It gives teachers and students a common language to refer to vowel sounds, and it helps students to understand the rhythm of English-something that is not taught often enough but is crucial for intelligibility. With the regular reminders from the app, students can stay on target and practice in a fun way, and look up their pronunciation doubts in the dictionary. Plus, the app just keeps improving all the time!

As an Instructor of adult learners, I really like this APP. It’s easy to use, fun, and takes minimum time away from busy lives, with maximum results. The Color Vowel System is easy for students to learn and start applying right from the start of the quarter. From the data generated within the APP, it’s clear that the students who spend just 10 minutes a day, make progress. Student feedback is positive, and that’s important. They confirm it not only clarifies pronunciation puzzles, but it helps grow vocabulary, reading and writing skills. I’m using the APP for a third quarter. Navigate English with Blue Canoe
I have been using Blue Canoe in my high school ESL classroom for over a year. It has been amazing. The students enjoy the challenging variety of conversation topics. They eagerly try to improve in their scores because the feedback is instantaneous. All the other features and activities that go with it are ever expanding. I’ve given each student their own color vowel chart and it is has really helped to differentiate and attack pronunciation and strengthen fluency. Company support is incredible and truly shows their heart is in the right place.

Essential Tool for ESOL Classroom!
Blue Canoe is now an essential tool in all of my ESOL classes! I love the Color Vowel Approach and Blue Canoe harnesses the simplicity and effectiveness of this approach in a fun and engaging app that allows learners to fully develop their phonological awareness and to forge an autonomous learning habit with routine practice. My learners pronunciation and reading/spelling skills continue to improve using the app and using the Color Vowel Approach to learn the essentials of comprehensibility in English - stress and vowel sound (color). This is truly a must have tool!!

Blue Canoe App and Color Vowel System
I accidentally discovered the Color Vowel System a couple of weeks ago when I was looking for a video to teach the English vowels to my ESL students. I am a linguist and I can vouch for the research behind the system, which is nothing less than ingenious. My students just received a trial subscription and they are enamored with it. It is a game changer for teaching ESL! Highly recommended!

Great Independent Practice
I had my students use this app during the spring semester when our face-to-face college class went online during the COVID lockdown. We were spread out around the world, so this was a wonderful tool to ensure that they continued to practice their pronunciation focusing on word and sentence stress. They really enjoyed it because of the ability to do it at any time, as many times as they wished, and to do it in private. Great Ed Tech tool!

Effective and fun
I have been using the app with my students since its inception. It provides invaluable pronunciation information and support.
