Skylinef22,
Great Shoot'em up Game!
This is a truly great game, it is one of my favorites on the app store. It has many great aspects too it and it keeps you entertained. Which is the whole point of the game. Five stars for great gameplay, cool graphics, and price! The only thing I am asking for from the developer is two things: One- Make it so you can have two or more stories (because my friends love to mess with my phone, and I would like it so they could have a story too) and Two- Make it so you can dodge bullets. An example would be that I would swipe left to move my helicopter to the left (without turning, almost like sidestepping in a game) because that would make it a lot more fun, and that is something helicopters can do in real life. Imagine rockets flying out, airplanes going down in flames, and when they launch a rocket at you, the only way to dodge them is to complete a turn before you can fly away. See kind of what I am saying?

This game is still very entertaining, and that is why I am giving them four thumbs (thumbs and big toes) up, and five stars. I hope to see an airplane game similar to the game 1942 soon from the developers. Because that would be great!!!
obtrunco,
Fun app! Now works with iOS 16.1
I’m glad this game is back but there are two minor issues:
1) the helicopter has a slight tendency to drift to the right.
2) when I try to mirror the screen to my PC this app forces the position to be vertical while the game is in landscape . I don’t understand why. Any other app that supports screen orientation change does it on the iPad and iPhone w/o issue.

I miss this game. Update: App still works with iOS 10 on iPhone 7 but it keeps telling me that it needs to be updated. I'm afraid that if I update to the next version it won't work anymore. Where are you guys? I have a paid version after all. I've had a lot of fun and back and neck aches playing this game, but it's in need of updates. I've played this app to it's last level on the iPad retina, unfortunately you cannot calibrate it because when you tap on the option it crashes. Guys! Please make an iPad version! After all it is more comfortable playing it on a bigger screen.

Control
Supposed to be able to calibrate accelerometer, but still can't play in heads up orientation.

Buggy
It crashes when you calibrate the steering. What happened did you abandon the app.
OwenTheSwede,
Very well done
This is a great, polished game that appeals to both casual and hard core shooter fans. First, the controls are extremely simple and intuitive, one of the best uses of the acceleramoter without really making you think about it. The earlier levels are very good for more casual players while the later levels get very hectic and test dexterity but are never impossible. I like the balance in this game after the first half-dozen levels or so. It can feel repetitive over time and it can seem like a level just takes too long like instead of ratcheting up the difficulty the developer just decided to make levels longer to make the player tired. There could be a bit of improvement there going forward. I also think there's room for some specialized missions like protecting friendlies, etc. I also agree with others that there could be another couple of maps to change up scenery. Anwyway, great graphics, sound and especially music and considering how many more highly-touted games in or near the genre I've tried and found greatly disappointing, this one is a winner and the price reflects that. Keep up the good work!

Best app I have ever played! Don't listen to people who say this game is terrible because it isn't. It has LOTS OF LEVELS, which is good for hours of playing, EASY TO CONTROL, & EXCELLENT GRAPHICS. Better than more expensive apps. BEST APP FOR ANY PRICE. In fact, they could raise the price because 1$ IS A STEAL. I would like to see an update though on a few things. 1) Please make there be more weapons. Also, could you give some info on each individual weapon (how much damage it does, how many you can fire before running out & show a diagram of the helicopter & where the missiles will fire, like front, back or side.) I would like a missile that cost 30,000 or 35,000, which fires every 25- 35 degrees, preferably with more lazers in the front 180 degrees than the back. 2) Add a health bar over each enemy so I can see the damage my weapons do. Full health is green, while health I have taken away is red. Update soon and keep up the good work!
TMCase,
This is so cool!
This is one great game! The tilt control is like being in a real helicoptor and the firing controls are right where your thumbs would naturally be. Graphics & sound effects are great. I can't put the game down until my hands cramp up. As with most apps though, it could use a little improvement. It needs to be more challenging. After half way through the levels it becomes same o same o. Each new level there are more bad guys to kill but they aren't any more difficult to kill. I've upgraded all weapons and bought a few extra helicoptors so there's no way I can lose a level. I've only got a couple levels to go so maybe there will be a surprise at the end. Overall, I love this game and it was worth the $3. This game is great therapy if you need a distraction from life's problems.
MattRandom,
Very fun. Hard to put down! (couple of small suggestions)
The lite version hooked me but I had a hard time convincing myself to spend $6. It seems that procrastination pays off in the AppStore.

I really enjoy this game. Certainly addictive. I still get a kick out of the characters talking. Good graphics. Great controls. I've had no crashes. The only issue I've had is that switching between Story and Arcade reset the current Story (chapter 8) to chapter 2. Also, I had access to all the weapons even though I hadn't earned any cash yet. No, I just plan to complete story mode prior to playing the arcade mode.

A couple of suggestions. First, a pause button is absolutely necessary. Second, the ability to autosave in the middle of a level is also needed. All level progress is lost if I quit the app or if a call comes in. Maybe just save the current number of enemies and cash then start the player back at the base next time.
eddejohnson,
Fun game, but needs improvement
First off, anyone who is thinking about buying this game, get it. It is a great game with great controls, and at $1, definitely get this game. Secondly, the game could use some improvement. I think it would be cool if you could choose between a helicopter or a plane, with each having different advantages and disadvantages. That would be cool. Also there should be a pause screen where you can adjust settings or return to the main menu. Also, my brothers kept bugging me to see if they could play but I told tham that they could play once I beat it. I think that it should have three or five files. I hope this review was helpful to the game makers and that they might put these ideas into the next update or the sequel to this game.
rjay179,
Starts off slow but picks up nicely, fun, great controls
Unlike others complaining that hasn't even bought the game and played it, I can say that I have, and find the game to be pretty good. It takes a bit for the game to pick up, the first six chapters are there to get you acclimated to the game's control. After that, it's party on, and it gets fun. Blimps, tanks, planes, helicopters, mines all there to be blown up. Sound effects and music are great. The production quality is quite nice considering it came from an independent developer. The best part of the game is how tight the controls are. It doesn't take much time to get used to. They really pulled it off nice.

Only thing I'd like to see is more variety; more weapons, more enemy types, more scenery, etc.

All in all, nice throwback to the old days of 90's games, and it's good fun.
