We found and fixed a couple of bugs and made a few tweaks. Enjoy this minor update!
* Added a quick delete option to all title fields to quickly delete the pre-filled date
* Fixed a bug that caused the report fonts to be really, really small and unreadable
* Fixed a small bug where the app added the Start Date to the End Date field when you chose to NOT create a track from the dashboard. This caused the app to place new entries at the bottom of the list view
* Fixed a dark mode issue

A huge thanks to all of the users who helped us get these bugs figured out!
Here's what we fixed in this release:
1. App Crashes When Switching Boats. There were 3 scenarios that caused the app to crash when switching boats if the user had multiple vessels with different configurations.
2. Start Button Crash. A handful of users had the app crash when starting a log entry by using the Start button on the new dashboard.
3. Editing Vessel Details. This bug caused the app to freeze up when changing certain boat settings.
4. Canceling a Trip. When canceling a trip from the dashboard, the app would still save the trip even though it was canceled.
5. TCO Including Excluded Items. When calculating the Total Cost of Ownership, the app would incorrectly include items that were marked to be excluded.
6. List Titles Truncated. When viewing entries in the list view, the app was truncating the title.
7. Incorrect Sort Order. The app was sorting the list view by date but not by time. If you had multiple entries for a single day, the app would show the oldest entry first for that day.

Nice update.
Overall I really like the new interface and ability to quickly start a new trip and track recording. Also like the fact it works well on an iPad. Really would like to see iCloud data sync Ability. I’d gladly pay an upgrade fee for that (not a subscription though, please don’t ever go to a subscription based cost, what a crock that would be). I do have to be careful though. I’ve started a new trip a few times from the main page, and selected record track. But at the end of the day when I went to stop the trip I noticed the app didn’t record anything at all! It’s possible I may have closed the app accidentally, but not sure. I’d think it would have the ability to run in the background? Lastly I’d like to see the ability to record an overnight trip or multiple day trip where you can differentiate between time on the boat and time moving/traveling. Currently for multiple day trips I create a new log only for the period of time we’re moving. So the stats may get skewed as the app won’t track time we’re spending on the boat at anchor or in a slip....hope that makes sense. Overall though I’m very glad the app was updated and I did receive excellent support early on with some questions.

Unable to do syncing between family members.
Revised review. One person, one iCloud. Not able to do what I needed it to do. Requesting a refund.
When down loaded I set up on my phone and my iCloud account. my wife and son both downloaded as you are supposed to have family sharing. When either one tried to log in, we got an error and it stated that we would have to log in with the iCloud account it was registered under. Not happening that we are going to share an iCloud account. We all have our separate iCloud accounts under one family sharing. We have one boat, that if any of us are using boat I need to have any one of us log hour meter and such. Each from our respective phones and ICloud account. Please fix this issue or refund my money. Please notify when you have addressed this issue.

Really Nice App!
I had your previous version and having the trip log is a great addition.
The look, the layout, the use of colors and the intuitive simplicity of the interface really make this great from both a visual and usability standpoint.
The only thing I would like to have is the ability to change the order of items once they have been added to a list (to do list, expense/maintenance logs). Sometimes I may forget to add something until later and I would like to maintain chronological order or prioritize the order for certain lists/logs. Is there a way to do this in the current release? Aside from that addition, you did a really nice job with this app.

I used the app before the upgrade and it was a good app. Now with the upgrade every boater should have it in there phone it’s an extremely useful app. There is a file for all your expenses and logs, so easy to use. They are working to make the mapping even better than it is. This is going to be the most sought after app for boaters.

Little more than a notebook
Don’t bother buying this app. The features are little more than a notebook with categories like Log Book, Maintenance, Trips, etc. I could track all the same info in Word or Excel. I thought it would have some suggested items under each category to help you fill out each section, like how old are your batteries? Date of last oil change? Date of fuel filter? Checklist for winterizing. Checklist for spring unwrapping. It has none of that. You fill in everything manually. Not what I was looking for, so thankfully it’s only $5, but still not worth it.

Long time user is a fan of the upgrade
We’ve been using the app for 5 years to record all maintenance, fuel and expenses for our sailboat/home. On our 2.5year circumnavigation, it was essential to have this history at our fingertips for maintenance and parts regiments. We like the new font which enables one to view all the maintenance info without scrolling. Still capabilities we haven’t explored like the Trip, but we’ll tackle that soon.

Super Help from a Happy Boater
I have used Boating Suite for the past 13 years and was very excited to learn of the update. However, I was totally lost in trying to update my information into the new app. Rob worked and exchanged emails with me for more than a week when he finally resolved my issues and I now am successfully on the new app. Tremendous personal support I didn’t expect. Great App & Support
I am a long time Boating Suite user from the original version1.0 release. Rob in his early days did a good job in supporting issues and it even got better after V2 was release. Have there been issues yes, but that is true of all software. They have been responsive and communicative to anything I have reported or requested. A lot more support for a one time fee of $4.99 than I expected.
I had no issue in paying for the latest rewrite. It comes with some new features including true IPAD support, worth an additional $4.99.
I have and will continue to not only be a loyal user but continue to recommend it to all my boating friends.

Just ok
As a professional licensed mariner, I purchased this app last week from a different source to better track my underway hours. My first two attempts using it, the app shut down and never tracked my trips. I submitted an email to the developer and heard crickets. The third trip the app stayed on but the route was completely inaccurate and therefore I will no longer use. Recommend looking elsewhere.

Clunky
I had high hopes for this app because it’s exactly what I was looking for, but it isn’t that good. It’s clunky and hard to navigate. And there is no ability to edit the date field for fuel entries. I filled up last week and want to add that to the log but it only allows today’s date. Can’t believe that in this day and age this feature doesn’t work. Horrible app. Would not recommend.
