Simplicity At It’s Best

With so much going on in this ever smaller world of ours, it is a pleasure to find a peaceful moment where one can truly reflect. No more and no less than that. Taking a moment to breathe, clear the mind and let a Daily Quote in. A little joy in ones day is always a good thing. I am given the opportunity to reconnect with both long past teachers and authors. Some of whom still can make me chuckle, others provide a deeper sense of acknowledgement as to how far we have come, yet we all do have so far to go in our ever changing world. Thank you for this App. Thank you for the small peace or thought provoking moments it brings to my days. Thank you for keeping it simple, when so much of life is already complicated.

Thank you for fixing - you BQ ROCKS!

****UPDATE**** The below issue was fixed. I can save to camera roll again. Thanks BQ Team!!

Please fix!! The main reason I used this app was to create awesome motivational wall papers. I can no longer do that since last update. I open app, find a quote I like (love that I can move the quote up/down so it does not block the clock on lock screen) then tap the “options” icon (square w/up arrow), then select “save image”. The problem - its not actually saving. Made sure app has permission to save to photos (in settings). Rebooted phone. Deleted and re-installed from App Store. Now when I try to save to photos it does not ask (initially) to grant permission to access photos. Please fix!!

Nerd Alert!

Hello to everyone and anyone who reads this! I love Brainy Quote and have so even before I installed the app. I would often hop on the website and pick one of the “quotes of the day” chosen from over millions of others by website workers. Plus I love the reminder aspect (which can be set to your liking) so every morning at 11 A.M. I get a non audible reminder sent to me with a great quote overlaid on a serene landscape... great touch! I am a forever learner and will not ever stop. Happily. Everyone should always try to learn something new, further ones mind. Moreover, we should all help one another in the process of knowledge and in compassion. Stay blessed brothers and sisters!

THIS IS MY FAVORITE APP BECAUSE...

It is simple. Let’s me download every quote, of which, has triggered me to ponder, and is presented on a beautiful landscape photo, but gives me the choice to interchange it for another. I don’t have to mess with ads, the quotes are always fresh & I can set it, also easily, to have it show up when turn on my device. And best of all — it’s always FREE, and doesn’t pressure me to pay a thing for all these choices. It is efficient & does just exactly what it claims. I’d pay a bit if needed to. This app, with all its benefits, has set a standard rarely met. I admire those who thought of it, and those who help inspire me.

Not Bad, But...

There is nothing to play with! I do enjoy receiving a quote per day, as it keeps the brain moving and can even introduce one to a person they knew nothing about. Take a tip from the YouVersion Bible app. If you look at their app, you'll see that, although it's different in nature, some of the things that they implement could be used in your app as well. Like here, we can change images, but then we can also blur the image so that the font can be seen, change the font, change the color and size of the font --basically do most of what you would find in a program like Word. I like this app very much. I guess I just wish there was more to do? So far the only thing we can do is pick a different image. What fun is that?

EXCELLENT APP!

I love quotes and this app is great! I especially like the ability to change the background photo. I can also find quotes pertaining to any subject or from a particular author or source. I pick a time of day for it to be sent to me, and then it gives me the option of sending it to friends or family members via text or email. Why bother with anything more cumbersome when this app does everything I need or want it to do?! It’s PERFECT!! Thank you, developers!

Why can't I login anymore & where are the quotes I saved

I have been a huge fan of this site for years. However, for some unbeknownst reason, I can't find any place to login or find the quotes that I have been saving in my own privately named yfiles for years. I have no doubt that this was not done out of spite or a malicious intent. But I would really like to have my quotes back that I have been saving for years. This was the premium site for the best quotes. You can look through and find excellent quotes for almost any occasion. Please bring back the ability to save the perfect quote in your own personal files. Or show those of us who can remember using the dial up internet connections to look at your site.
The old cranky guy who needs help finding a good quote for every situation.

One of my good starts in the morning

I look at BrainyQuote as well as a few other apps to start my day. I can use the Quote that come up or look up a different topic depending on my mood or needs for that moment. Sometimes the quotes are a little hard to read depending on the background. At those times I either move the text or find a different background that allows the quotes to be read easier.
I agree with another reviewer about the ability in the Bible App to have more control on the layout.
I do have a few people that I send BrainyQuotes to daily and I do hear about it if I miss that day.

Becoming irrelevant...

I found BrainyQuote's website and thought the app would be a good thing, so I could have personal access to inspiration and motivation when and where I need it.

I was immediately dissatisfied by the inability to save or view saved quotes and that the app did not sync with my online account.

However, I did like reading a new quote each day as it popped up while working on my device in the mornings. This is no longer available with the latest update - I am require to open the app to view the quote. This app now has no relevance or use in my life - I'd rather just use the website at this point.

Great quotes, good app for the website! But...

On the website version you can make an account and save favorite quotes (which I have, and I love it). But why isn't there a way to use an account on the app version? I'd love to be able to save my favorite quotes easily.

I've found a workaround for it: click on the download button, select "open in website". A browser window will open with that quote, and I sign in and save it. That being said can't there be an easier way to save the great quotes on there?

That being said, there are tons of quotes and they're very inspiring. Perfect app if I could save my favorites.

Oh, also it would be awesome if there were a way to get some context about the quote. Like "this person said this while going through this difficulty," or "the author of this went through this problem" to add even more credibility to their quotes through their experience.
