Apple Watch
I love this app! As an adult with adhd it has been incredibly helpful with automating my mornings so that I don’t have to think about what needs to be done next and I don’t get distracted trying to remember what I should be doing. The reminders throughout tasks are great (since I usually get off task midway through the activity) and overall it has made my mornings a lot easier and more productive. I do really wish that there was an Apple Watch feature. It would be great if I could put my phone out of sight but still have the visual reminder of my routine on my watch. Another feature that I think could be a great addition is the ability to add tasks without adding them to a routine permanently. For example if you had a one time change in your schedule, you could add it into your existing routine just for that day but not change any of the other days. Or maybe just a section where you can add activities you would like to do but have no specific date or routine that you could add it to.
recleaguebackup,
Shows promise but needs improvement
While this app shows promise, it really needs streamlining in the area of managing routines, especially reordering routines, adjusting times, and easily seeing and fixing time conflicts. Right now I've entered a number of routines, but as I've added in transition times etc that I didn't initially account for, I'm left with time conflicts that are very clunky to resolve. In order to see my daily calendar and identify time conflicts, I have to go to "start routine." To exit that view I have to navigate the Qs of whether I really want to "quit the routine." And then I have to toggle back to "manage routines" to adjust times manually to resolve the conflict. The app shouldn't allow routines to overlap and should automatically adjust times to avoid conflicts. Or, it should easily allow user to view schedule and adjust times where conflicts exist. Also the automatic ordering in "manage routines" based on when you created the routine is the least useful option for how this list could be ordered. Ordering by schedule (like time of day or day of week) would be much better. I still haven't figured out how to reorder this list, in spite of searching support posts. I hope they roll out improvements to this app soon to make it more user friendly to adjust schedules.
Elleoneiram,
Good weekly schedule ideas, but
I was excited to find the adult version of the children’s app that was hopefully less glitchy and easy to navigate. Unfortunately, this doesn’t have the main thing I liked about the children’s Brili that virtually no other app has: the ability to move tasks to the end and basically scroll between tasks. Last time I tried it, this only allows you to toggle between two I believe, or briefly put off one task. I know you can completely redo the schedule, but I found that a bit difficult (had a hard time clicking on it or something?). And then that kind of defeats the purpose of being able to *somewhat* mindlessly flip through tasks, while keeping things interesting and flexible. I mentioned this to the creators, but apparently most users, whoever they are, didn’t want that flexibility and preferred to have it this way. The answer seemed pretty final. I might give it another shot someday to see if there are any other updates that make it more usable, and I did like the recommended tasks and schedules as a framework. But I was disappointed after waiting for it to come out heh.

Absolute life saver
I’m an adult with ADHD—I have terrible “time blindness” and cannot for the life of me get anywhere on time. Unfortunately my job, which I love, is extremely strict about tardiness—even trying my absolute hardest to be on time, I was still getting written up for being three minutes late, or even one minute late. If I was late one more time, I’d be fired. Needless to say, I was at the end of my rope and willing to try anything—even an app for kids. I’m so glad I gave Brili a try—not only have I not been late since using Brili for my morning routine, I consistently leave the house when I plan to (!!) and am EARLY (!!!) every single day. I can get gas on the way to work. I can get a coffee if I want! I feel like I have an incredible new super power—I can understand time 😂 I’m in control of my mornings.

As much as I wish there wasn’t a monthly subscription fee, it sure beats losing my freaking job!

Thank you Brili 🙏🏻
Jengirlmama,
Almost as good as the kids app
OK it might help to say adults with ADHD can be like big children at heart lol. Which is why I have always worked with kids. I loved the kids app for myself because it made getting tasks done more fun and helped me manage my time better. Loved how it would re-work the times if you got off track. Loved the individual timers. Loved being able to see how long the tasks would take and when I’d have to start to get it done on time. Makes planning and getting ready for events on time much easier. Kept me on task. Loved that I could add a picture. Not sure why but pictures help. Maybe it’s the visualization technique , or that pictures process in the brain faster, or maybe it’s cute and seems more like a game. Wish I could save a task with picture intact to save for later. The blue outline icons are boring. Perhaps add ability to add an upbeat tune to keep you moving and put you in a good mood. Or focus music for work at home. Love the break intervals and rewards. Makes you feel good about yourself.
I’ll put this review in kids app as well.
Simone Wolfe,
ADHD Life Changer
I am a very late diagnosed female with ADHD. I’ve never been able to do the timer system for tasks for 2 reasons, 1 because I have no concept of how much time things actually take to do, and 2 timers counting down the set time only further stress me out because I’m then focused on time ticking away instead of the actual task. This app has been a complete game changer for me. Instead of time ticking away, I can see how much time things actually take me to do. Mind blowing. Deep cleaning my kitchen took me 2 hours but only 8 minutes to now deep clean each week. And dishes now only take literally a couple of minutes instead of hours.

I do wish there was a way to share this among my devices as I currently use my iPhone and iPad interchangeably but don’t want to setup separate apps for each.
MissAshley86,
It’s gonna make so much more sense
When I recommend this app every time someone tells me how they’re struggling with something. I always say “Listen, I never though Iii would ever have a routine but this app makes it work for me! Now-it’s TECHNICALLY for kids but hear me out...” Honestly-to anyone considering it-this is the ONLY routine app that works for me. I went from being CHRONICALLY LATE to on time and prepared for my days. I feel so much more capable and I make sure to create routines that are satisfying. It helps me understand how long I will ACTUALLY need to do things and if I run behind it adjusts to favor it so that I can stay on track. It keeps me mentally stable and not only able to stick to a routine but wanting to. This app will wholeheartedly change everything you know about routines. I can not recommend it enough.
DSkye23,
Life changing. Seriously.
I cannot recommend this app enough for anyone who has ADHD or suffers from time blindness. I have always been late to EVERYTHING and at 27 I’d just accepted it honestly. But I saw someone mention this app and decided to try it. First of all—a 30 free day trial that AUTOMATICALLY cancels. Not only a generous trial length, but no fear of forgetting to cancel and getting charged!! Honestly so thankful to Brili for that. Routines are customizable and flexible. As long as I have one running I know I’m going to get where I need to be on time! It’s $50 for a year sub, but as someone who was 15 minutes late to EVERY shift… Even on my tipped minimum wage, I am more than making up for that with 15 minutes more on my time card every shift, in wages alone. THANK YOU BRILI!!!
cansomething,
I LOVE THIS APP!!!!!
Brili completely changed my life. I’ve been using the kids version of the app for a few years and just switched all my routines to the adult version. The example I give to friends all the time: my least favorite chore is washing dishes and just by adding that one item to my nightly routine, I regularly have a clean kitchen now. FINALLY!!! Who knew that I just needed a little outside reenforcement to help me realize that staying on task doesn’t have to be a mountain of struggle. And believe me, I’ve had some serious struggles just trying to stay afloat with life. I was only officially diagnosed with ADHD a month ago, though I’ve been trying to use ADHD life hacks/tips for the past three years or so because of how much they helped.
Ms. Thanksalot,
Honestly life-changing for ADHD
I struggle SO much with sticking to good habits, time blindness, and staying on task because of my adult ADHD, and I cannot stop gushing about Brili to anyone about how amazing and helpful it is. I only wish it allowed you to make quick custom temporary day plans for when there are specific things I need to do in the morning or at work. But for daily things like morning routines and bedtime routines it is incredible and has drastically changed my ability to stay on task and do little things I avoid like washing my face at night. In the app you see that it only takes you 3 minutes, so why not just do it?? Thank you to the developers for making an incredible tool.
