Bugs and Numbers is designed for kids to practice a wide range of math skills. Organized into three stages, the app covers pre math to early fractions. Each activity is crafted for a basic set of math skills that introduces zany game play, fun graphics, and beautiful music. Tap and count bugs to help them get across the water in an egg carton. Match numbers and shapes at the bug hotel, which happens to be an old refrigerator.

You’re back!!

We love this game and I was so bummed when it went offline. I am ecstatic that it’s back up and still has skill levels for my daughter. Yay!!

Separate user profiles unusable!

What’s the point of allowing you to create separate user profiles when you can’t even designate a user? Not a great app if you have more than one child using it at a different level. Otherwise it’s a fun and educational enough app with great graphics. Could be somewhat challenging for a little kid and even an adult to figure out what you’re supposed to do in certain games.

Keeps 'em coming back!

My grandchildren love playing games, but when they want fun and a challenge, Buttons and Bugs is the game they turn to. I have 4 grandchildren in the 6 - 4 ages and there is something for all of them. As they get older the challenges are still there because there are lots of choices of games. The graphics are amazing! The music is enchanting but not boring. The kids love the humor of the bugs! They love the whole idea of bugs playing and they love learning math, science, and writing while playing with the buttons and bugs! I'm hoping it will also give them a love of nature.
I've had this game since the twins were 3 and will still have it for the last two grandchildren, ages 2 and 1, when they are older. I even love playing it!

Of my hundreds of pre-K apps, this is a favorite!

I've been recommending this and all the other bugs apps to friends of pre-K and K children. Both of my girls (one with Down syndrome, one without) are able to play these games without verbal instruction since the demonstrations are given at the beginning of the games. I have all their apps and even enjoy watching my girls work through the games. And a bonus…they are able to maintain separate user accounts, so one child can progress through the levels more quickly than the other. No, this doesn't teach higher level skills - it provides excellent foundational skills in a very entertaining way with progressive skill levels for individual users. Brilliant!

Must have app for preschoolers

My son is 3.5 and the Bugs series are his favorite iPad games (Bugs and Buttons, Bug and Numbers, and Bug and Bubbles). I have sat down with him to teach him how to do all the mini games. This one has numbers involved so I say it's for 3-4 year olds and up. There is a lot of counting, and it goes into measuring, clocks and stacking. Bugs and Buttons is the best app of the three to start your child on. It's easy to skip past a tougher mini game if your hold gets stuck. There is a wide variety of mini games and they all have an educational purpose (except for maybe roach racing which is just funny). Graphics are fantastic. A must have app for preschoolers.

Another Great app from Little Bit

I work with kids on the spectrum, and I use all the "Bugs and" apps on almost a daily basis. Once I got my iPad, I paid the full price for all the "Bugs and" apps, because I could not wait for any sale. There are many - 18 to be specific - skills and challenges to this app. Identification, Matching, Laterality (Left/Right), Pattern Making, Sequencing...and so on. Spatial concepts help keep us grounded to where we are - near space, far space; tune us into movement and synchronizing or coordinating that movement; and it also helps with listening skills...I can't say enough about the quality of these apps. Highly Recommended.

Amazing this app has it all

This app covers math skills ranging from basic counting all the way through adding fractions with a model. My kids love to play it, and it is amazing to watch their growth. Today I saw my 3 1/2 year old daughter correctly identify fractions and mixed numbers. She plays this game every night for ten minutes before bed as a reward, and watching her grow n her mathematical thinking is unbelievable. Additionally, the graphics and music in this app are great. Tun bug theme makes it interesting. I highly recommend this app for parents, as well as for educators.

An incredible game

My daughter is 4.5. I've been looking for a fun and educational game, something similar to the DuckDuck Moose series but more advanced, for a while without success. Until I found this game. What an amazing thing this game is!!! Every task progresses from easy to hard within each round and seamlessly leads your child to understanding how to do a more difficult task. The graphics is incredible!! Every background is so detailed, created with an incredible attention and a sense of humor! I'm in love and so is my daughter!
