1. Media Player Enhancements -
When on media player, invoking trickplay using OK or Play/ Pause button on remote will show focus on Play/ Pause button on media player.
The Audio option on the media player’s name has been changed to Audio/ Subtitle to make it clearer to the user what the button does.
2. Reduce Play/Record Options Overlay - When selecting the Start-over snackbar, the Play Options Overlay will no longer be displayed and will auto-select if there is only one playable option. Furthermore, if there are multiple playable options of the same content type from the same network (ex. Multiple Replay airings at 2PM, 3PM, and 4PM all from HBO), the Play Options Overlay is not displayed and the program selected for playback is the program with the latest start-time.
3. EPG Category Filter - The Category Filters have been moved from the top of the EPG screen to the transition overlay. Now users can quickly access the Category Filters from anywhere on the EPG.
4. Subscription Filter - The subscription filter has been removed from the top of the EPG screen and hides unsubscribed channels from the EPG and Replay screen. The subscription required section is also hidden by default on the Play and Record Options Overlay to only show actionable options the user is subscribed to.
5. Recently Watched Enhancement - When users focus on a program in the Recently Watched row, the image is magnified to distinguish the item in focus. The number of items in the row has been reduced to 15 programs. Also, when the user is focused on a live channel, the metadata is updated to indicate the channel name.
6. For Networks with recording expiration policies, this feature notifies the user on the Play Options Overlay and the Details module how many days they have until their recording will be removed.
All things Networks: The network feature row and child pages are now available on mobile/ tablet, porting the same behavior as the TV platform.
The mobile/ tablet feature screen now supports a network logo feature row.
Selecting “See More” on a network feature row will direct users to a network Browse All grid view.
Selecting a network logo from the feature row or network Browse All view will open a network child page that promote shows, movies and channels based on network configuration requirements.

This app is rather rudimentary. Kind like U-verse was 5 years ago. 1. You can’t view the guide and select recording for shows to come. 2. When selecting a TV Series it records ‘all’ upcoming episodes, even though many are repeats and previously aired episodes. Example with U-Verse you can record only 1st aired, so you get one episode per week, not the same episode that was repeated 3 times during the week.
The developer should get an account with various vendors (U-Verse, Comcast, etc) and extract their best features.
Oh well, hopefully C-Spire will be open minded to user suggestions.

Good app but needs one or two features
The app allows you to see what is currently airing on TV, but it would be better if you could pull up the guide for current and future airings. The ability to view the entire guide as you can on your TV coupled with the ability to record future airings through the app would be great. Currently you can only set programs that are currently airing to record.

Very basic
It’s ok I guess. You can do basic things like watch tv, record,delete recordings. You can’t scroll back and watch replay on this app like you can on a streaming device, however.

Useless
I initially had the app and logged in and it worked fine. Made the mistake of logging out and now I can never login again. What I get is a whirling wheel and nothing happens. Unless you delete the app you’re never able to even attempt to log back in again. It just ignores anything you do. But if you log back in – or attempt to - you just get the whirling wheel again.

Cannot login to use app. Tried deleting it on several occasions & downloading the app again. Still no go. Contacted Cspire about it before & got nowhere, which is not normal (there service is normally really good).

I’ve had CSpire TV for 3 months, and have never been able to use the iPhone app. I’ve always gotten the same message:
