Description
Completely Free – Yes, this app is completely free. We must explain this because so many apps use the word free as a gimmick, wherein some of the content is free and some is locked behind a paywall. There is NO paywall here - every feature and story are completely, truly, free. We don’t ask for your information, don’t make you sign up for anything or take any data beyond activity on the app itself. Why? We want to build a userbase and get feedback on our different features, and we want kids all over the world to be able to listen to some unique and satisfying stories without worry or care.
Stories – All of our stories are hand-drawn, fully voiced interactive journeys replete with beautiful backdrops, unforgettable characters, and heartwarming conclusions. Our stories are fully voiced so if the reader is still struggling with comprehension, or just wants to listen - they can sit back and enjoy the art while they get read to/while the story plays.
Interactivity – Bored of listening or reading along? We’ve got you covered – our stories have a “coloring” mode that allows you to color in the artwork of each page while the story is read out loud to you. Bring our story to life as you color it with each swipe!
Educational – Our goal with the app is to help reinforce some of the structural learning that happens in elementary school. We accomplish this by ensuring our stories incorporate words that would be familiar to younger children as well as provide the voice-over to help them with word recognition. Our three activities also included in the app were aimed at further enhancing kids’ letter and word vocabulary as well as basic mathematics.
Charlie Imagines – Our first story is about the wonderful imagination kids have and how it ties to the world around them. Throw in a dash of motherly love and acceptance and you’ve got an instant classic.
The Picnic – The Picnic is about the joy and wonderment of friendships and how exciting it can be making new friends as a child – however, it is not without its challenges!
The Beets – At first glance it may seem to be about being a fan of music – but it quickly reveals itself to explain the common challenges facing most children… Having to eat vegetables! It also reveals the consequences of lying to your parents – but don’t worry, everything works out in the end!
