Alright.... I do understand the 1 star, especially given the pricing. If i didn't get it on sale, I’d be a lot more inclined to 1 star it too: while also giving the dev as much feedback as they gave us options...
On that note... the issues I’m having with it; there aren't any control options and you're stuck with the ship 1/2 obscured because it stays with your thumb instead of having relative touch like just about every other shmup available in the appstore.
With that, options.... theres not really any at all. You can turn the music and fx off from the title screen, but.... woohoo i guess?
There’s no pause, just a ‘stop’ button that takes you back to the title screen. Theres also no difficulty options. And these, with the lack of control options, make it hard to consider it a game to recommend. These have just kind of become expected when playing a shmup these days. Maybe over a decade of quality games have just spoiled us.
All of this to say....
i paid $3 for a game i played all of 3 minutes, turned off, deleted and then booted up literally ANY other shooter on my phone.
It felt like i dumped the $3 into a knock off arcade game with broken controls... and i sort of thought we had moved passed that.
... guess not.
Impressive? Not so much....
