This app is your guide to bicycling in the Victoria BC region. Victoria is the Capital of British Columbia and invites residents and visitors alike to enjoy its growing bicycling infrastructure. The first release of our new app highlighted the return of our springtime event: Go By Bike Week 2022. Subsequent releases highlight new upcoming events as well as sponsors, calendar activities, and the latest from the Capital Bike website. Everything you need to enjoy the Victoria cycling events is right in your hand! Use the app during the weekly events to find celebration stations, be immediately notified of announcements, and keep the daily schedules with you.

Following 2022 Go By Bike Week, subsequent app releases will be updated with maps of Victoria's bicycling infrastructure, both on and off road. Route maps from easy family-friendly rides to advanced rides all over the area with cue sheets will be up next!

Version 1.4 of the Capital Bike app includes:

-- Map with location of October GBBW celebration stations with turn-by-turn bicycling directions from your location.
-- List of prizes to be earned by participating and logging rides in GBBW events and hints for entering prize drawings.
-- Locations of bicycling sponsors, and bicycling directions to get to them from your current location.
-- Calendar with upcoming community rides and classes listed.
-- Latest announcements and notifications from Capital Bike, received up to the minute on your mobile device.

The new dedicated Special Events screen has been established and it promotes the current and the next upcoming bicycling event in the Greater Victoria BC area. New Home Screen buttons direct you to the most popular sections of the app. The current special event featured in v 1.3.0 is the Sticker Challenge during the month of August 2022. Use the app's mapping feature to find the best bike route from your location to all of the collectable sticker locations in the area!
