Description

Battle anything from across the universe! Let King Arthur wield Excalibur against Thor and mighty Mjolnir; set a T-Rex loose on an African Elephant; or pair up Einstein with a Zombie to take on a Pug, a Hamburger, and the Charter of the United Nations. Yes, this game will take you places you never intended to go.

Of course like all good TCG and CCG games the concept is simple to understand, but it's the layers of preparation, strategy and devious tactics against your opponent that make all the difference.

There’s an ever-growing collection of cards covering anything and everything; Space Travel, Dinosaurs, Nebulae, Greek, Roman and Norse mythology, Samurai, the Honey Badger, the Sun, Leonardo Da Vinci, Elephants, Celestial Objects, Kings and Queens, Bugs, Sharks, and so much more across Science, Technology, Arts & Culture, Natural History, Paleontology and History.

Gather together a collection of your favourite things, build an all conquering deck and then duel it out against other players from around the world in thrilling arenas. AeonLegacy,
Easy, Unique, Needs More
So, I’ve been playing card games for years. Big magic player, big hearthstone player, Shadowverse, plants vs zombies heroes to name a few more. Saw an add for this and thought this looks interesting and for as easy as it is, it’s definitely got a fun kick too it. The cards are fun to mix and match and figuring out what goes together to get you the most point is fun, plus it’s fairly FTP. I invested $20 and ended up getting a lot of cards out of that being packs are cheap and it’s nice they have them separated by theme to make it easier to acquire cards. The trading system is also cool, it’s nice to finally see some type of trading system in a game. My only thing, and it isn’t bad being this is a new game, is hopefully in time they come out with new mechanics and strategies. Right now the best strategies involve ramping into a ton of energy to have big swing turns, or playing cards that drain your opponents energies or points. Granted that’s the point of the game to win based off points and using your energy wisely, but hopefully in time we will see some new strategies and mechanics that go above just energy and points. So far though I’m having fun with the game and am working my way up to master class. Can’t wait to see what else they do with the game.
MN_Seahawk,
Take a chance and you will Love
I saw this game many times looking for new TCG mobile games and I always avoided it because at first glance it looks super lame. I’m a individual who is into Yugioh, Magic and Digimon TCG games and play at competitive levels so I feel like I understand a good card game when I see one and after I finally gave this game a chance I became instantly hooked! The game mechanics are simple but requires Strategy in the higher ranks, this game rewards F2P players and actually sets you up pretty dang nice, if you want to invest money $20 will actually go a long way and get you what you need. The thing that makes this game better then other TCG mobile games is the trading system, yes the trading system is amazing and actually gives you a huge chance to get cards you actually need and the community is actually very giving and will take junk for that legendary you need, on top of it all duplicates are actually nice in this game unlike other games where you need duplicates to make your cards stronger this game you can use your duplicates to trade to other players it’s pretty fantastic. Try the game for about 5 solid hours I bet you will think differently if it then.
Corunder,
Trading card game that blocks trading
It is a cute idea and was fun. The recent update blocks meaningful trades. That is the dumbest idea the developer could come up with for a trading card game. The trade meter was fine as a suggestion to help people who are not sure. They have a meter babying and holding their hand and forcing them to click agree if it deems it one sided. But, people often intentionally make one sided trades otherwise why trade. It is not possible to write an algorithm that knows what trades people want to do. I give a lot more for a cards I want right now and so do others. I could spend hours trying to find trades that boost my position through wheeling and dealing and that is part of the fun with trading card games. I would trade when I did not want a particular card to try to get better cards for the cards people want so that I could have value when I wanted a card. I would never do an even trade just because someone wants a card I have and I have duplicates. Fusions for limited is a common trade I used to make that many people with duplicates are fine with for instantly getting card. Many people won’t but who cares you move on to someone who will until two people mutual agree on deal despite the meter. Disproportionate trades are literally the reason trading is relevant in a trading card game. I think it is a cash grab to block the ability for free users to get better cards to try to sell more packs.
LondonMyst,
CUE is a lot of fun!
I’ve played Pokémon and MtG and really enjoy this deck-building (and battling) game. My (adult) son recommended the game to me. I downloaded it, yesterday, and played not imagining it would be a keeper. The mechanics of the game are clever. That the cards have info on the back appeals to the former educator in me (as well as a fan of all-things-trivia). I enjoy that there is a trading element. I adore that you have to think when setting up your decks. Collecting cards is amazingly fun. The coins you can “earn” each day are generous (especially when compared to other apps and their micro transactions). I would like it if there was a place that I could find/purchase some new Card Backs and if the 400 gem theme packs were more feminine. (They seem to changeover once per week, so I’m hoping for something “prettier” in four days time. Fans of crocodiles/alligators and the Aztecs are in luck this week!) I was happy to purchase some sets in order to give some funds to the developers. I appreciate the thought they’ve clearly put into the game. I look forward to watching the game progress!
PhrogAndPhish,
Pay to Win Trash
It’s fun at first, when the game actually puts you against winnable opponents. But after a good 8 or so matches you start getting put up against opponents with 6 legendary cards in their decks. Theres this one card, Martin Luther King Jr., That costs three energy and gives off 19 power. Not too bad right? Except for the fact that this three energy card gives 20 power to every other card, including itself, that gets played. Effectively turning a “3 energy card” into a card that supplies 79 power… in other words, a card that’s stronger than every single common/rare card that’s costs under 8 energy. There’s also this stupid cat card, another legendary, that is 120 power, you’d think it would cost like 12 energy, but it only costs 8. THATS 15 POWER PER ENERGY SPENT?? Meanwhile my normal cards cost 7 energy and drop a maximum of 90 Power. And then once I play them I end up losing like 50 energy. This game forces you to pay money for legendary cards to win against other players that have a bunch of legendary cards. There’s no strategy in this game. Just pair up a couple of cards and drop a few legendaries in there and you won’t lose against anyone who hasn’t spent money on the game. Which spoiler alert, is a good 95% of the player base.

Review of CUE
Cards, the Universe, and Everything is an online Trading/Playing card game that introduces a fun and even educational twist on the mobile genre. The depth at which research goes into making this game as well as its cards allows for people to play, collect, or trade however they want without needing to worry about not leveling up or gaining currency. Speaking of currency, while I’ve been playing the game for over a few months, I have not had to spend one dollar on gaining the cards that I’ve found throughout my journey.

I’d also like to point out the ease at which new players can pick up the way games work with CUE’s excellent tutorials and fun graphics that allow the game to be more immersive and simplified for everyone to play. Even if someone wanted to play competitively, that option is provided and well organized.

I give this game a rating of 5 stars because it is a well designed game that can be fun for all sorts of people that constantly updates with new cards and new challenges. Thank you for making such a wonderful game!
Unhappykeepsafer,
Best Card type game i've played!
I've tried a few Card-Battle type apps over time, and CUE is by far one of the most entertaining AND legitimately informative game on the app store. There's a staggering amount of cards, all with factual interesting information about the card on the back, the artwork is really fantastic and nice to look at.
The variety of cards is also very impressive, there is a vast number of cards and the majority have unique effects, so no two cards are quite the same which leads to an almost limitless variety of decks that can be built.

My only critique, if any, would be to add a mode where you can have larger decks perhaps?
Also, i'd like to see the UI for building decks refined somehow, with the absolutely staggering amount of cards, it can be difficult to create a deck while remembering which cards you have, or which ones fit under 'X' category etc. Maybe some way to tell if a card can be effected by another, or like if they are in the same "family" of cards, since there is so many categories.

Overall fantastic game, no NEED to spend money to progress, you can certainly succeed without it, but should you choose to do so, i believe the market is fairly priced and you receive an adequate reward for doing so.
9.9/10

the ' .1 ' is only because the deck creation can be a bit overwhelming when you have a good number of cards, and only grows as you gain more cards.
ZachLink,
So Addicting for real lol
This game reminds me of Pokémon and Magic the Gathering but in its own twist and a whole lot of fun. Basically it has cards from everywhere from space, math, history, bugs, animals, ocean creatures and much more. You can combine cards to make a Fusion for example Combining Sharks and Tornados and you get Sharknado! Lol it’s a ton of fun and I’m actually addicted to it. You can earn any of the cards without purchasing anything but I did bc I appreciated the game and wanted to give back. There are 5 rounds and 3 turns each and there’s a great balance to the game which makes it a whole lot of fun and makes you think out of the box. I would buy this as a real card game bc it’s amazing. I hope you give it a try it gets better as you open more booster packs with in game gold. Buy the Marvelous pack that’s 4500 gold coins bc that’s the best free bargain and the fastest way to get your cards in my opinion. Give it a shot it’s awesome and maybe I will meet you on the ranks section.
Jessxei,
Best mobile card game, BUT…
I’ve been playing this game for about 2 weeks now, and I’m in love with it. The problem is that certain mechanics decide when they want to work and when they don’t. For example: the Sitting Bull card gives each card in your hand a +25 power boost if you lost the turn. I use that card in my main deck, but it’s ability will trigger even if you won the turn so long as your opponent so much as takes over in points before your points are even calculated. In the spirit of fair play, that’s just broken. A similar issue happens with cards that rely on you winning/losing to trigger their abilities. Sometimes when the actual intended outcome happens, there’s basically like a 70/30 chance the abilities won’t trigger. I’ve had this problem win and lose me games, but it’s just too inconsistent. Hopefully a more definable way of “winning” and “ losing” a turn is fixed.
Wiljo123,
Bust out your wallet
It’s a card game. So collecting all available cards is part of the game. Well they offer new cards daily, most of the time the packs have a couple of really desirable cards but are limited cards and only available for a short time, sometimes only one day. How do you collect all the cards? You have to have diamonds or coins to buy themed packages of random cards. While there are daily earnings, you will not have enough to chase down a pack containing new cards without having bought some diamonds for cash. The trade system is a nice and easy way to trade cards with other players. Be careful trading, there is always the chance that you are coming out on the short end of a trade. Now the actual gameplay is easy to learn, easy to play, but it takes some time and effort to build a strong deck, and some of that goes back to card collection. Anyway, fun game, but as it is a collection game, you will most likely break down and buy some gems with real money.
