My wife and I just rescued a 2 month old stray we found in the middle of the night on our patio. We suspect she was “dumped”, as a few weeks later we rescued her probable brother & sister and took them to the local (no kill) Humane Society. They look just like her and she seemed to recognize them. It was heartbreaking separating them, but I already have 3 cats. Why can’t people just be responsible for *their* pets?
Anyway, I went looking for some games to keep our new baby girl busy while the golf ball sized wound in her leg healed. I tried more than a few and we settled on this title because the chirping sound FX for the mouse drove her crazy! What’s interesting is that she hadn’t yet developed “object permanence” as a kitten. She was so young when we found her. She didn’t yet understand that objects don’t vanish when they leave her sight. I could simply hide a toy in my hand and she’d forget all about it. I could put a paper plate over her food and it had disappeared as far as she was concerned. A few days ago I showed her the game and she was pretty animated! After watching her for a while I noticed she was looking behind the iPad? She hadn’t done that in the past and must have figured it out since the last time I played the game with her? It was driving her nuts that no mice were coming out of the iPad as they went off-screen! It was exciting to see her before and after this development. She’s turned out to be a wonderful kitten! She’s so insanely cute that she gets away with everything!
I like this game be cause it’s SIMPLE, and it sparks my kitten’s attention. It doesn’t require a signup like some, I also tried the FRISKIES game but my kitten rejected it. Why is a signup required for a CAT GAME? Why, to send you marketing nonsense, of course? Several of the games I grabbed required signup, but I just deleted them too. I received no emails or spam calls after installing this game, as it requires no personal information.
For a simple game to entertain your cat, this fits the bill perfectly.
