This app is an introduction to the Central Pomo language of North America.
This application was developed in partnership by the California Indian Museum and Cultural Center (CIMCC), www.cimcc.org and Miromaa Aboriginal Language and Technology Center, http://www.miromaa.org.au/.
The purpose of the California Indian Museum and Cultural Center (CIMCC) is to educate the public about the history, culture and contemporary life of California Indians and to honor their contributions to civilization. This application was developed pursuant to the Shoh yehaelim: Pomo is Happening Now project, funded by the Administration for Native Americans, Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. Shoh yehaelim promotes Pomo language learning within tribal communities in Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake Counties.
