Description
The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is the oldest and largest Food & Wine Society in the world. Its origins are based on the traditions and practices of the old French royal guild of meat roasters first formed the 13th century when King Louis X of France granted the Goose Roasters Guild a title. Revived in 1950, the society has professional and amateur members in more than 90 countries worldwide. In the United States, there are nearly 130 Bailliages (chapters), each offering a variety of culinary activities to suit the interests of local members. The Monterey Peninsula Bailliage was formed in 1976 when a group of Gourmands, Restaurants and Chefs held the first of the societies events here. Since then, the Bailliage has become known for the best of what membership in the Chaîne has to offer. Use the app to stay up to date with everything going on with us!
