Checkers Free supports 1 player and 2 player gameplay, so you can play against your friends or test your skills against a challenging computer opponent.

Our new turn-based network play feature allows you to play up to 16 simultaneous network games against your Game Center friends or random network opponents over Wi-Fi or 3G.

Checkers Free includes a host of exciting features, including:

This app is great, it is just like normal checkers but better! It always makes me mad when someone "accidentally" cheats. But that's where this game comes in handy, if it's not your turn you can't press on your checkers. If you press in your checker and them press a spot 3 or 4 spaces ahead, it will not let you. You don't have to set up another game when you're done with this it takes you to a brand new one right after you're finished. You can also pick which color check you want to be (black or red) and type in your name (imojis included!🙀) so have fun with this app. I'm picky about my apps and I give this one a thumbs up👍

Great game!

This is just a simple checkers game, but it’s also really fun and easy to use. I can’t tell you how many years I’ve played this game, honestly around 7? When I was younger my parents had this checkers game on there phones and it used to keep me and my siblings entertained for hours! Then when I got older I downloaded it on my phone and I still really enjoyed it.
If you are into playing checkers tournaments, this game would be great to practice on! I can go on to say how easy the set up is and how it’s easy to get a game started! All you have to do is place your name and if you want a bot or another person. Another thing that is great about this game, is you can change the difficulty of the bot! This could really boost your skill if you are an interested player. You can try new attempts and strategies to see if you can outsmart the player.
I recommend this game to all of you checkers lovers! Thank you for taking the time to read this, and keep the good work up!

Great app!

I was looking for a tough app that is suitable for my iPad. Found it. When you turn it to high level, you will give yourself a very smart opponent. I believe that the first 100 games provided 100 straight losses on high. My wife did all that she could not to laugh! Hell, you got to laugh at yourself, yes? As I continued I was getting closer to 4/2 and 3/1 which was my short term goal. As I played more the laughing turned to stone as I was determined to beat or at least, tie this app. I did start to tie about a month ago and I was elated. This went on for awhile and then I lucked out and won!!!!!! Only took 522 games! I don't win often but I think I'm learning a few things because when I go back an play previous apps, they seem much easier. This is the best app I've seen, by far. Smart little games is another great one but not in this app's class as of yet. But I must say I'm only on #3 setting. The problem with SLG is that it's slow. I'm thankful that I was able to find this app. Fun Fun Fun!

Awesome game love it

I really love this game! So, the reason why I got this game was because my dad didn’t have enough time to play with me anymore, and the last few days, it’s all I’ve wanted to do . So when I found this, i instantly hopped on to use it and fugue it out. And it’s super easy. when you first get the game, You see 1 player,(to play with a robot) 2 player, (to play with yourself, and someone else in real life,) net work play, options (sounds for moves, forced jumps, and network play tips,) more games, (which takes you to a checkers game which you could buy,) and no adds. When you first go in a round with a robot, you can pick what level of difficulty you would like to play at, if you would like to be red or black, and the name for you and the robot. And when your playing against a real person you pick red or black for the players, put names down and then play. Super simple.

Game of simplicity

Checkers, the name in itself reminds everyone of its brilliance. Set up for two players, it carries its duty flawlessly. Creating a scene for the two players to imagine and play out. Each player starts with a certain amount of circles, the circles in itself defy the laws of physics and gravity. The amount of work in the circles is astonishing, I say this because no one can make a perfect circle. As Pi is known as a number that never ends. The board also carries its duty flawlessly. As you can use Pythagorean’s theorem to calculate how to move your balls to certain places. Making this game great for mathematicians. The animation with the balls moving shows great symbolism in its artwork. It shows how we can move through life as a flowing ball.

customer service anyone???, 29/09/2019

So much potential

I loved this app initially but no longer can get online network playing capabilities it tells me I need to be logged into Game Center to play which was never a problem initially as I was and still am but for some reason no longer can access it. I noticed a very high drop off rate from other players when I did have access before and think there is a glitch with their network play but wouldn’t have certainty as they NEVER respond to any customer service help I send them so unprofessional and pathetic. Customer service anyone???

Awesome app!!! Highly recommend

Super accurate compared to regular checkers, but this time you won’t be able to cheat! You can either play against somebody in person, or test your skills with your choice of difficulty level against the computer

Suggestion: Maybe you can make it where you’ll be able to play with your friends online so that if they’re not there with you in person, you’ll still be able to play with them online?

Besides that, awesome app, no bugs or problems whatsoever

Simple clean design. No deceptive tricks.

Checkers is a fun old game. You can set the level of difficulty so you always have the perfect amount of challenge. You can play against the computer or against a live person also on the Internet. I like this simple clean straightforward interface. They don't hit you up asking for money for this or that. I took it off my device for a while because it is a little too fun to play! 😄

Checkerboard

The board has been a lighter color recently, I don’t like it, it is difficult to read, and see too light, if it doesn’t change I will have to stop playing.
I also don’t like the way the counting keeps cutting off , if the score is 20-8 then it suddenly goes back to 0-0 very often
Frustrating, why does this happen ?

Recently downgraded

Updated phone and iOS. Graphics in my opinion big downgrade, additional adds I can take but very recently took away the ability to MUTE adds even when one has game sound turned off. Not only annoying with the constant LOUD sound but virtually impossible to play at work or anyplace else one doesn’t wNt to disturb others or draw undue attention. Sad thinking I may have to delete one of my short game full time staples. Would move it to a 1 star since almost unplayable now, but giving two for old times sake
