Perfect app
Playing it all the time. Wish it could allow two friends playing together online

Great app! Could be even greater still
This is more or less my introduction to 象棋 and I’m not sure I could’ve had much better apart from a person with a board who was really into it and a good teacher. The game flows well, looks good, and the fact that it allows me to save and annotate games as well as play so many practice endgames…it’s brilliant. Clearly a lot of love was put into this. My only notes:
1. It’s a shame so much of the documentation is only in Chinese. I do understand how difficult doing so much translation correctly would be, but I’d love honestly to pore through all of that literature.
2. For some reason, it’s not accepting when I beat the endgame scenarios and unlocking the next ones. This seems like a fairly crippling bug.
3. The option to annotate saved games is amazing, but it’s annoying that (as far as I can tell) I can’t go back and add or change annotations once it’s saved.
4.I finally beat the computer on easy—very satisfying! That said, it might be worthwhile to have a setting even easier, although the challenge is worth the reward and impetus to think.
5. More variety of piece designs, especially graphic/shaped ones, might be nice.
6. A way to disable the ads would be worth paying a bit for.

Great chess game and can save games
Many games don’t allow you to save, but this one does. Also allows hints which weirdly many apps don’t have. Allows you to play first or not which again many apps weirdly don’t have. Doesn’t allow to switch colors though which is weird but ok. Best chess app out there. Just wish can support landscape view.
Edit: please offer a paid version of this app to remove the ads. It is super annoying to resign and then a huge banner comes up which blocks you from closing the game and restarting. I’m willing to pay for this!

Great app to learn and practice!
Overall, this app helped me develop my Xiangqi strategies and skills so I would really recommend this to anyone who is a beginner at Xiangqi! The only suggestion I would make is can you try to put a option in the game that would allow you to play as black? I can’t seem to find any way to play as the black pieces on the app and I do like playing as black sometimes to try your best to make this possible! Other than that, this is a great app to develop your strategies!

Lots of fun!
I like the interface design and abundance of end game puzzles. Being able to load games from classic literature and learn interactively is also great! Overall it’s a very well designed app. Only small problem I had was that for one of the end game puzzles (独孤九剑第23关) I couldn’t solve, the “suggestion” from AI results in a drawn game. I am not sure if there was a mistake in the setup. Not a big deal at all.

Great start, a few suggestions for improvement
I really like the style and functionality of most aspects of this app but there are a few things I feel need improvement.
When saving a game it is not straightforward to view the history of past moves. Please improve the PGN support. Can we import/export using airdrop or email? The way PGN is displayed covers part of the board too.

Best App to Learn
This is by far the best Chinese Chess game app. It comes inclusively with tips, samples and other functions that other apps do not have. I’ve gotten better since I have been using the app.

Best Chinese Chess Game
It’s got many options. You can play endgames, games against cpu, and several levels of different chess scenarios. Great for practice when no one is willing to whip out the real board.
