Great test of knowledge!
This app was a great study tool! Especially now that part one is on the computers, the clicking and flow are very similar. I had many questions on boards that were very similar questions, or questions that asked something different but on the same specific topic (such as saliva ducts). It was the only practice questions I did prior to the exam and I felt confident going in and when I came out. I would definitely still use other methods of studying obviously as this is not a stand alone system, but it was definitely great study tool and test of knowledge.
The only things that prevented me from giving it five stars was that there are a few wrong answers (I’d says less then 10 in the whole app) and also that they’re a little too generous with the scoring (however the boards scoring is so crazy I have no idea how they’d replicate that). Neither of which I would to affect my outcome on boards.

I just got the app yesterday at the recommendation of my Irene Gold instructor for part 1 boards review. So far I haven’t had any trouble with the app, but I have only opened it once so far. Although I do have an issue with only having 3 days to try it, then having to pay $10 a month for a subscription. A lot of us are still students and broke.
Edit: I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but I was sent an email by Chiro Board Review when I signed up that if I wrote a review I would be sent the NBCE book with practice questions, answers, and rationales. However, I was just sent links to BUY the book! If you are going to advertise GIVING the book to anyone who leaves a review, then ACTUALLY give it to them! Don’t make them BUY it unless THEY want to buy it! And don’t give me a snarky reply like you’ve done in the past to other people! That just makes us even angrier. No, I will not change my review unless you change the way you do things!
Edit #2: After I saw the response from CBR about emailing them, I sent an email and got a response quickly about getting the book as promised along with a little something extra due to getting lost in the shuffle.

Fantastic app for NBCE
I used the app every single day studying for part 1 and I will continue to use this app throughout part 2,3, and 4. The flow and layout of the app was seamless to use and made studying fun and enjoyable.
I did wish that if you left the app like in my case studying in between classes that it kept your brain place in a practice test instead of kicking you out of it, however repetition was key to understanding the material which I got over.
I enjoyed that each section was laid out exactly like the boards exam was, 6 sections with 6 practice quizzes for you to try. I also bought the premium for a month that allowed me to take a practice test for all sections to judge where I was at. I was confident in my test taking abilities using the CBR app and I highly recommend those considering it to do so. You will not regret downloading or purchasing premium, or the books they offer online too!

Update: I received a reply via from the company giving me access to my account. See previous review below. I now have access to the full app and it seems to work perfectly. The developers wrote me all day trying to get it figured out and it’s appreciated.

Great Question Bank
The app allows you to see focused questions for each section. You get 90 questions and you are timed. At the end, you will get a score (which you can use to estimate how much more studying you need to do for a section). Your score at the end shows your raw score + bonus points, I think if you focus on the raw score, you get a better estimate of your knowledge.
The app doesnt have the explanations that the books appear to have for the answers and wrong answers. I personally like to have answers and wrong answers explained, it helps to reinforce information.
Overall highly recommend once you have studied for boards. Do not take as a means to learn, it is best as a check on learning.

Helped me pass boards but I definitely recommend using this alongside other tools like Irene Gold
Update: I passed, somehow, that exam was the most challenging test of my life. Credit where credit is due. Also apparently they fixed the problems in my original review. Good luck to all the future chiros.
Like the title says, I need to study by drilling questions at my head, if I can do that and talk out why each wrong answer is wrong I see my grades and % correct go up drastically. So this was definitely worth the cost for that alone. I haven’t taken boards yet so I don’t know if it actually helps there, but it’s gotten me more engaged with the material (kinda) so there’s that.
However, there are A LOT of questions with multiple answers the same, or typos, or repeat questions in the same exam, or other issues. Like, more than should be expected for any paid app. I’ve gone through 1 exam from each subject and have at least 20 screenshots of problems so far.
There’s also no brief explanation of why some answers are right/wrong which a lot of other materials provide (but at a cost obviously).
Overall, I’ve recommended it to my peers with the caveats mentioned above, and I’ll update in 7 weeks when I find out if I passed or not.
Like the title says, I need to study by drilling questions at my head, if I can do that and talk out why each wrong answer is wrong I see my grades and % correct go up drastically. So this was definitely worth the cost for that alone. I haven’t taken boards yet so I don’t know if it actually helps there, but it’s gotten me more engaged with the material (kinda) so there’s that.
However, there are A LOT of questions with multiple answers the same, or typos, or repeat questions in the same exam, or other issues. Like, more than should be expected for any paid app. I’ve gone through 1 exam from each subject and have at least 20 screenshots of problems so far.
There’s also no brief explanation of why some answers are right/wrong which a lot of other materials provide (but at a cost obviously).
Overall, I’ve recommended it to my peers with the caveats mentioned above, and I’ll update in 7 weeks when I find out if I passed or not.

They will charge you $9.99 to download the app for 3 days free, and then charge you another $9.99 monthly. Not to mention they just now added these new terms when I downloaded the app two days ago!! What a scam. Unless they change this policy, do NOT download this app 😡
Update: I purchased this app on Dec 30, 2019 for $9.99. On Jan 2, 2020 there was an automatic app update that then asked me to agree to a $9.99 MONTHLY charge. It only makes logical sense that I would have access for at least one month after paying $9.99. But instead I paid $9.99 for 3 days of access and now I can’t access the questions until I pay another $9.99? Ridiculous.
It is absurd and for you to say that I did not even USED the app and that this is based on emotion. I absolutely did use the app, as did many of my classmates that are being scammed by this sudden policy change. You would know that if you read the email that I sent to you on Jan 4th before I posted this horrible review. My entire class is furious about this update two weeks before we take board exams and many of us have sent emails that are STILL not responded to.
Your service is disappointing and your response to this review is insulting. What a shame. The only explanation for this sudden price change is greed. You are taking advantage of students just weeks before they take a very stressful board exam and I hope that you get many more horrible reviews and cancelled subscriptions.

One time fee changed to monthly subscription
I took Part I boards back in August 2019 and this was a great tool used to quiz myself and find out where my weaknesses were. I get the typos—I can deal with those (although for $10 initial cost, typos are a little disappointing). I updated the app a few days ago thinking that it was just going to be bug fixes, but then I logged on today to begin studying for Part II and I saw that I can no longer access any of the questions without paying for a monthly subscription of $10/month. A free 3 day trial doesn’t do much good since I’m not taking Part II for several more months, and it saddens me to think I would have to pay upwards of $60-70 just for some practice questions when they were available for $10 flat rate just a few months ago :(
I probably wouldn’t recommend this app anymore to students now that the flat fee changed to a monthly fee.

Back in January I took my part 1 boards, and I used this app to study. It was glitchy and some of the answers were wrong, which was frustrating. After boards, they sent me an email saying that they updated the app and continue to fix and review their questions. That’s fine with me. I changed my rating from 1 star to 4 stars. It doesn’t get 5 stars since it still has a few questions here and there that need reviewing, but otherwise its a solid app. Many of the questions that appeared on my boards were identical to the ones I had here. I did, however, not do as well on some parts as I did on the app, but I passed, and I’m ready to move on. I say use the app, it worked for the most part for me.

About time
This app is ok. You would think after more than a year of people wanting the landscape view it would have happened a little sooner. They added more Parts of the boards to it which is very useful. My hang up is that I still find myself seeing wrong test questions through these same tests in Part 1. Not to mention the $10 I have already purchased to use this app in the past and now a week before the test they update it and charge again. I’m sure the developers will continue to be lazy with this app, BUT, THIS UPDATE SHOULD MAKE IT PRETTY STEADY FOR USERS HERE ON OUT, and will be a huge help in prepping your confidence to take Boards. $10 a month though? Harsh, people would continue a membership if you offered year long cheaper subscriptions to the app.
