The Cirrus Approach Instructor App provides flight instructors with mobile access to training courses and student progress originally found within the Cirrus Approach Learning Management System. This app is designed to accompany Cirrus instructors as they work with their students during flight training with access to the user’s enrolled students, flight training courses, flight logs, and flight instructor assessments. The app enhances a Cirrus instructor’s flight training experience with mobile access to their students’ online learning so they can adapt to their students’ needs quickly and effectively.
The Cirrus Approach "Flight Ready" mode allows for work to be completed in flight and has been specifically designed to minimize distractions and focus on the assessment you and your student are currently working on. Flight Ready allows for quick and easy access to the list of tasks your student needs to perform, reduces the cognitive load on both you and your student, and enables you to concentrate on the actual flying and teaching of the assessment instead of what tasks have and have not been performed.

This update mainly affected the Single Student view, which now has multiple tabs to provide the instructor with more information. In addition to the assessments, instructors now have an Overview and Transcripts section.
This overview section provides

The highlight of this update is the enhanced flight ready mode. We have added a flight ready queue where instructors can store up to 3 assessments for 3 students that can be edited without internet connectivity. When you have finished your flight and synced up the changes your flight ready queue will continue to store those assessments and give you the ability to easily see which ones are ready to submit for finalization right from the queue.
We have also added an alert notification on the app start up screen to let you know if your app version has fallen behind, we want to be sure that you keep your app updated so you are getting the newest features and latest fixes that are needed. We have also added a new filter option for the list of assessments, now you can also filter assessments that are Ready to Submit. Other minor bugs and additions have also been made.

In the latest version of our app, we have made some significant updates to enhance the overall instructor experience. Firstly, we have removed the student experience from the app to provide a more focused and streamlined experience for instructors, students will now only complete their course work in the web browser. The new web browser app supports all devices: phone, tablet and desktop. We have improved the instructor experience by providing easier access to the instructors students, their students logbooks, flight training courses and assessments. We have also made significant improvements to the app's offline mode, "Flight Ready" mode can now be accessed more easily and much faster than before.

Great working app with new design

Was great now not so much
Great content and was very handy to download offline content and review on long commercial flights or other place without connectivity. Now that’s gone app is only for instructors and all other users (statistically the majority) are forced to the website for an on,y on,one experience

Engaging and Effective!
The Cirrus Approach course was as much informative as it was engaging. The high quality video footage, coupled with an intuitive format that built on knowledge from previous videos, allowed me to not only learn the information, but retain it for demonstration during the in-flight portions of my Cirrus Transition Course. As an aside, the Flight Fix video series has been equally enjoyable and useful. I hope the Learning team at Cirrus continues to develop video courses and other innovative training aids (e.g., the iFOM, which I also purchased) on the various aspects of flying a Cirrus aircraft. Thanks for a wonderful product and I look forward to my next course! (FYI, I completed the SR22 Perspective Advanced Transition, but I’m sure all of their products are equally great!)

Fantastic Tool for CSIPs
This app, in conjunction with the new Cirrus Approach learning portal, provides a great in-cockpit experience for working through each lesson. I especially appreciate the “Practice” / “Perform” approach, rather than all the other levels traditional scenario based teaching usually follows... “Explain”, “Describe”, etc.
Looking forward to the Cirrus developed Private and Instrument courses to follow the same structured approach.

Crashes on iPad mini
I use the app on my normal iPad pro and it works fine. However I switched to the new iPad mini and the app crashes immediately upon launch

Crashes immediately
Attempts to load and then crashes in seconds on iPad Pro 11”. Haven’t had a problem with this material on previous iPad mini or first gen iPad Pro.
