Fix crash issue after iOS 12
Love the app... when it is working well. Currently since ios12 release the app is unusable due to crashes.

Overall Good But Always Opens in Files
This app is one of my favorite apps. However, it always opens in the screen where I have to choose a file from Files rather than to the normal view where I already have documents open from the previous times I’ve used the app. When it opens to Files when launching the app, I have to either find the document again from one of my file sources or open some random file just to get to already open documents. Please fix so that it opens to the last document that was opened, and if I want to open a new document, then make the user need to click on the Open Document icon.

I was trying to find an app to use on my TD Pilot to read my packets for my certification training. I have Claro Read SE on my I16, so I wanted something similar. Love the app already.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this app!
We rec. this app lots for our students who struggle with reading and/or writing. It is a very user friendly interface. Students can take pics of worksheets in an app like prizmo to convert the text and then open it in CLARO PDF to have it read to them and to add text via keyboard or voice! It is one of the only apps that I have found that does all of this and is stable when adding text via voice on a worksheet - i can think of one other, but it does not have FOLDERS like Claro PDF now does! YAY!!!!
Can also record audio over a power point that is converted to a pdf, take notes and have the audio sync with each page of the presentation! awesome!

The app is stuck
Majority of downloads will not open. I can’t access settings. It goes to a black screen . The downloads that do open do not play.
It was working fine. I upgraded to iPhone 11 Mac Pro and it worked for a short while.

It used to work.
The app no longer works. You can take pictures or convert to a PDF. You can only view what was previously downloaded before, nothing new. 😩

Weak player controls and consistency
Been using the free version and paid version of this program the last three months of this term as a student in a healthcare program
- I upgraded to the paid version hoping for better stability (free version kept freezing entirely and have to restart program), settings, and voice options but really I have not noticed any great value and regret spending the money. It doesn’t freeze up at least. You also get a few more voice options of which still don’t sound that great (Tessa English (South Africa) has been the best so far and is one of the free voices). It also seems that I can adjust the readback speed in the paid version while in the free version when you adjust the speed it just goes back to where it was originally. Having a slider is really frustrating when trying to make slight adjustments. Having a feature to type exactly how many words per minute I want as well would be a great addition!
- I’ve selected some of the pay for voices and getting to listen to them more than just for a short sentence I’m realizing I don’t like them but have not figured out how to return them so I can maybe select some thing else.
- There’s no pause feature. Only start and stop. So if it stops you have to try and figure out where you left off last.
- The reader will stop if you tilt your phone and the screen orientation changes. So you have to lock orientation. If you open up any other page or even the settings screen to lock orientation on an iPhone it will stop. Enabling “read in background” setting helps but it still is finicky.
- There are two features both labeled as “speak on tap” under controls. I’m guessing the second one is supposed to be stop on tap and disabled it because it was obnoxious that anytime you even accidentally touched the screen it’ll stop and you have to find your spot again.
- It stalls out. Even the paid version will just stop reading without reason. Of course, then you have look at your phone to try and figure out where you were which is not easy.
- Trying to get the reader to start where you want on tap can be frustrating. Sometimes I have to tap a spot a few times before it’ll get the idea. In the meantime, either nothing will happen or it’ll start trying to highlight an area instead.
- Sometimes it will get mixed up in what it’s reading and sound like gibberish or skip around if there is a graphic in the PDF. I have to stop it and skip ahead past the part it can’t comprehend.
- When reading with highlight so you can follow along, It’ll jump the section it’s reading to the top which will be hiding underneath the menu bar so you can’t see it. When you drag the page down so you can follow, it’ll jump back to the top again at the next sentence hiding it again. Of course when I tap the screen to try and make the menu bar go away, then that causes it to stop and then I have to try and find my spot again.
- It would be nice when looking in my folders to select a file that it would display the entire file name if you hover over it. Sometimes it’s hard to tell one from another if they’re all labeled similarly in a sequence and you can only see the first couple words at the beginning and at the end.
I hope this feedback helps and that there are improvements made in future versions. I would request a refund and go back to the free version but the freezing up thing is very frustrating. Makes one wonder if that’s on purpose so that people will upgrade to the paid version?

Wow! After trying several tts apps, i discovered this rare gem in a sea of duds! This is the best tts app on the market! Speaks all my iBooks and PDF's seamlessly in 4 english voices, more are avail. W/ in app purchase if desired. This will turn your pages for you, speak at any rate, gives the option to auto read or read by touch, and can highlight words as it speaks in multiple colors of highlights and backgrounds. Refer to google on how to play Kindle ebooks, mine works! A steal for 99 cents! my favorite is the UK accent Serena in the auto speak and auto scroll mode! No word limits just keeps on going! WoW!

I used to love this app but it has become so glitchy...
I really use to love, love, love this app because of it's capabilities but it has been so glitchy for the past couple of months that I loath it. Every time I try to edit a document or use notations it kicks me out of the app. This is incredibly frustrating considering that I bought the app for educational purposes and I can't even use it.
Also, being that this is an app you have to purchase, you shouldn't have to buy credits to import a document or book and save it as a PDF and/or use OCR...after all, it is a PDF viewer/editor/audible reader. Why the hell did I pay for a PDF viewer/editor/audible reader app that I have to make further purchases to further utilize? Clearly it is about making more profit but for this app it makes no sense as that is what we paid for to begin with. If you want more revenue, charge more for the app. I paid nearly $10 for your bundle (the other app I find useless) so I should be able to get some use out of the thing.
