Description
This is a screen full of slowly rotating clock hands which, at a first glance, look randomly distributed. However, they are cleverly arranged such that for every full hour some of the hands line up to display the hour's digit.
You may slide your finger down or up on the screen to move the time forward or backward to explore the other digits. The clock automatically switches back to the current time when you release the finger.
Inspired by an installation of Christiaan Postma.

How to tell time...
As the hour progresses, all of the "sticks" rotate. Around the top of the hour the sticks align to form the number of the hour at the appropriate position. In other words, if it is three o'clock a 3 made of sticks will form at the three o'clock spot. You can slide your finger along the face of the phone and see all the numbers form, but to see it work as a clock you have to let this run in the dock.

Confused, reviews all wrong?
I've wasted a lot of time on this, but all I get is EVERY number on a clock as I swipe slowly from top to bottom and the numbers are where they would be on a clock. I see nothing in the center and never the current hour. Just 12 then 1,2,3 etc. It's kinds cool but none of the other reviews bescribe what I get and I don't ever see the current hour, I see all twelve numbers as you scroll. Someone explain the "current hour" thing please!

cool idea, solid implementation
It's nothing more than a really neat concept, well written and good looking. If you want to startle your friends with something that is out of the ordinary, try it and see how long they take to get it. In total, I love to play with ClockArt. It is no killer App, yet it is also not intended to be one.

This is very intresting however, I don't understand how it tells time, other than one of the numbers lining up, are there left & right hands that line up as well?

Not very useful…
Art is subjective, there's not denying that. Even so, I find it hard to give this app more than a two-star rating. The fact that it's free saves it from a one-star rating by me. I just don't see any use for this app, especially since it hasn't been updated in over three years (as of this writing).

Only shows the hour???
Only shows "4" at 4:02pm or 4:50am. What good is it???? It's like a clock that only tells you the time... to the nearest "hour"?
The screen-shot shows it displaying a giant "12"... but I've never seen it display any such thing.
(Around noon there's a very small "12" buried in a 100 random lines.)
I love "art"... but this isn't a 'clock' really.

Not useful
You can add minute functionality by changing the color the minute stick. As a a developer I suggest that you should complete this app.
