Coach 7 is a Learning and Authoring Environment designed for STEM Education. This version of Coach 7 is only suitable for users with a valid Coach 7 Tablet Site License. You can install the Coach 7 App for free but you need the License Code (not for free) to be able to work with it. Contact CMA to purchase the Site License.
Coach 7 offers tools to measure with interfaces and sensors, to make video or image analysis, to create dynamical models, to process and analyse data, and to compare results of real measurements with results generated by models. Coach 7 is a highly useful tool, which can be used by teachers and students, in school, college and at home.
Coach 7 Activities are fully compatible with activities made in Coach 7 on other platforms. No matter what the mix of technology is in the classroom or the school, all users share the same user experience.
The Measurement Activities enable you to measure wireless (via Wi-Fi) with VinciLab via interface and sensors. Additionally this app allows working with an internal accelerometer.
The Data Video Activities enable you to make measurements on digital video clips to analyze motion of objects and measurements on still images to analyze shapes of objects. Such Activities bring real world into your classroom and allow analyzing attractive events and experiments that are impossible to perform in the classroom.
The Modeling Activities enable you to use ready-to-go models or to create models of dynamic changing systems. In such models the evolution of a system is computed step by step. Modeling allows solving realistic problems that are difficult to solve analytically. It helps students to understand the world of computational models; such models are used today in every area of research and industry.

New Functionalities
1.A new functionality added into the Tool menu of the Data Table Runs > Import Run.
This option allows importing a Run from another Coach 7 Activity or Result file. The dialog shows information about runs and variables present in the imported Coach file, and uses a “more intelligent” way of matching variables from the imported file with variables in the Data Table.
Improvements/Changes
1.The Statistics dialog is modified and shows nicer table.
2.The Panel image is now automatically zoomed for higher screen resolutions.
3.The Sensor Library dialog has been has been improved with the options to restrict the sensor list:
•No separate User sensor library anymore.
•The sensor list can be sorted according to a sensor name or a sensor code.
•Via check boxes the sensor list can be filtered to show only a selected sensor brand.
•There is a new “group” of sensors flagged as old sensors. These can be selected when the checkbox CMA Archive is selected.
•Coach remembers these settings.
4.The Data Table has now a toolbar with icons with which a number of functions can be selected directly, without going to the Tool menu.
5.Right-click a variable (the header of the table column) changes its functionality. It does not open directly Variable properties dialog but first displays the variable menu with options: Properties, Delete, Hide and Add new.
6.Right-click of a run number shows a run menu with options: Properties, Delete, Insert, Move Up and Move Down.
7.Run gets now its Properties dialog in which user can overrule the default color of a run and select another color. Note this the selected color will be used for all variables in this run.
