What customers are saying :-

5 Star - Simon Difford DELIVERS
(US iTunes Review Tiki Bar TV)
....Simon's books blend masterful mixology with absolutely gorgeous graphic design...... this app has the same classy design and fantastic cocktails as Simon's books. The writing is clean and witty. The drinks? Delicious.

5 Star - Fantastic!!
(UK iTunes review)
I didn't think that this application would be up to the same standard set by the book (which is THE definitive cocktail bible), but I couldn't have been more wrong! It's every bit as informative as the book, and the fact that it's interactive - it lists the cocktails that you can make from the drinks in your cabinet - makes it even easier to use. And at the price of half a pint of beer, it's astonishingly under-priced for such a brilliant application.

5 Star - Marvelous
(UK iTunes review)
Looks as good as the books, fits in the pocket.......

ike47,
a great app with flaws
a very useful and well designed app. a bit buggy at first and now updated to ios 11 (with another purchase). based on the british Difford’s cocktail bible. their larger sister app for ipad was abandonwear. zero response to queries by designers. poor maintenance. available in book form.
Wagginit,
It's excellent for what it is intended
I have been enjoying this app immensely since I bought it. Using it per it's description has been giving my friends and I a great time trying new drinks.
The intention is to have a few select alcohols on hand and find what you can make with just those items. We stocked the bar and for months have been enjoying different drinks each week.
Is hope they update it to continue with iOS updates because it has been so enjoyable. And emailing the recipes for later use has been great as well.
Ngnm1,
Pass on this one
I downloaded this app after reading a great review about it online… The first drink I searched for (ice pick) returned zero results… Horrible navigation, horrible UX (user experience)... there are plenty of free apps that put this app to shame... there were no reviews, so I took one for the team…
Jalil sarkis,
Need an Update !!!
1) the UI is looking old
2) if you search for a specific drink , the app will crash
3) their’s no way to change the measurement unit
Ramrod626,
No Sazerac recipe???
How are you going to make a cocktail app that doesn't include the original cocktail?
Gordonmeyer,
Small Cabinet
Well done app, however I purchased solely to customize drink recipies based on the contents of my liquor cabinet. Unfortunately the "Cabinet" feature on this app is lacking as major types of liquor are not found as choices. ex: there is no "whiskey" in addition there is no way to include what mixers you own. A second panel with mixers ie: "orange juice", or more obscure (and less likely to be in my fridge) ingredients like "fresh berries" and "mint leaves" as are requred for some of these drinks would be nice. As it stands I get a solid list of drinks I could possibly make .... after a trip to the corner market. If they include more liquor types and mixers for the "My cabinet" section this app would get 5 stars.
RocketChicken,
Simon Difford DELIVERS.
I'm a bit of a cocktail nerd - I mix drinks while wearing a leopard print fez for an internet comedy show called Tiki Bar TV. On my shelf of cocktail books you'll find a large shelf dedicated to Difford; I loved his "Sauceguides", I subscribed to his magazine, and even have an autographed copy of Cocktails Vol. 5 (thank YOU very much). Simon's books blend masterful mixology with absolutely gorgeous graphic design. When friends of mine decide to delve into the world of mixology, I always, without fail, steer them toward something from the Simon Difford collection.

This app has the same classy design and fantastic cocktails as Simon's books. The writing is clean and witty. The drinks? Delicious. The ability to randomly "shake" a cocktail based on what you have in your bar RIGHT NOW is fantastic. And the little checklist so you can click off the ingredients as you pop them in your Boston shaker? C'mon. Pure genius. Hell, after enjoying a few cocktails, I sometimes myself have have forgotten to add that 1/2 ounce of simple syrup when needed or, on occasion, mistakenly added a double dose of Curacao. Dreadfully embarrassing. Now with my handy iPhone checklist? Never again!

2.99 for this app is an absolute bargain! Difford is the real deal. Scoop this app today and go fix yourself something fantastic to drink. You deserve it.

Cheers, Kevin.

emmby,
A very nicely thought-out app, BUT could use one or two improvements
Nicely done. This app makes it very easy to maintain a handy go-to list of favorite cocktails (including your own modifications!) for any occasion. Previously I was using the builtin Notes application, which fell short in many ways, not the least of which is that it didn't bootstrap me with 500 rated recipes to choose from.

There are a few tiny interface tweaks I could complain about (it would be nice if the star indicator wasn't quite so subtle, and it's not totally clear how to reset a search), but these are pretty minor. I think the apps biggest shortcoming is that while you can edit existing cocktails, you can't add your own. Do you like a Negroni? A Sazerac? A 1794 or a Liberal? Well, you won't find them in this app, nor can you add them to your favorites list. Which means, unfortunately, that some cocktails will still have to reside in Notes.

All in all though, there's no doubt in my mind that this app is worth the price I paid. To the developers, I beg of you, please don't make me use Notes anymore! :) You have a great app, and with that one change I think you'll be able to trounce any and all cocktail competition in the app store.

UPDATE: Please update this for the iPad!!!
bishopspade,
Almost Perfect
Pros: The ability to set which liquors I currently have really sets this app apart from all the other cocktail apps. This app was clearly designed for the average home consumer and not a bartender with a fully stocked bar at their disposal. The shake for random drinks feature is fun. All the recipes and pictures included are high quality. Definitely worth $3.

Cons: The app has some serious crash bugs. If I star a recipe the app will always crash when loading. I had to remove the app and re-install to get it to run again. I can't set which "essentials" I currently have (limes, syrups, etc.) just like I can with the liquors.
WearShoes,
Bugs (edited 7/6/09)
After searching through many cocktail related apps, I decided to go with Cocktails Made Easy for my mixed drink needs. Unfortunately, the app does not start due to some type of bug, causing it to crash before the initial loading time ends.

I'm using the 3G with the new 3.0 update. Please fix this soon. For the moment, buyer beware.

New update has fixed the innitial crash bug and the program works quite nicely.

Doesn't have all the drinks one would expect but isn't aimed for mass market appeal. Instead, they focus on tried and true classics with an excellent UI.

Some faults or improvements: Does not provide the option to add your own cocktails. Would like to see the options for the average user reviews (.5 - 5.0 scale). The search feature doesn't seem available when holding the phone horizontally.

A quality app overall.
