Four brands of colored pencils are suggested when you pick the color from your reference photo: 150 colored pencils by Prismacolor Premier, 120 colored pencils by Faber-Castell Polychromos, 76 colored pencils by Caran d'Ache Luminance, and 72 colored pencils by Derwent Coloursoft mixed with 72 colored pencils by Derwent Procolour. Option for graphite included. Bonus feature: downloadable, printable Skin Tone Value Viewers for drawing portraits. This app works without Internet.

Helpful but might have a bug or two
This app is very helpful but I find a problem. For example, when I put the circle on a color of green it says that that color is gold. Not sure if this can be fixed in the near future or not. I certainly hope so because this app is extremely helpful to any artist.

Virtually Useless Without Accuracy Feature
I’ve been using the desktop version of this app for a couple of years and have found it very useful. Unfortunately, I assumed that this would work in similar fashion. Boy, was I wrong! On the desktop version, each brand is given a match accuracy that allows you to choose the pencil that is closest to Milt the photo. In some cases, one brand can very close (say, 89%), while the others may be much lower (65% or less). Without that information, I don’t feel this app is of use to anyone. I wish I had been more careful before purchasing this watered down version. I have uninstalled it, since it’s of no conceivable benefit to me. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Must have for CP artists!
What a great tool! I tested it out on a few images as well as work I’ve done and the match is great. It’s as accurate as the image allows. But it correctly identified the use of colors in one of my own works with the exception of heavily layered areas. Love love love this tool!

Color picker not working!
I haven’t used the app for a couple of weeks and it stopped working. I can’t clear the last picture and add a new photo. When I tried to add a new photo from my gallery the message says there are no photos or videos. I didn’t pay for a one time use. What gives? I would have given a higher rating but there is not app support, just buy and spend more. Phooey!

Doesn’t work
I was very excited to try this, and the app on the App Store seemed reasonable. However, when I opened it and tried to use it, nothing happens. I try to enter number codes and the “buttons” are unresponsive. Trying to choose a Prismacolor palette or “download” one (whatever that is supposed to do) also does nothing. I think I just wasted my money, unless someone sheds light on what I am doing wrong.

The app is great but it needs more brands of colors.
