Combat Manager Hack 1.1.8 + Redeem Codes

I love the concept, the design layout is great but it needs some work. Currently it's constantly crashing, which makes it more irritating than useful. I just made 3 NPCs and added their stats, I had to save after each section because the app crashed 2-3 times per NPC. Very annoying.
Would love it if there was an x to clear all text fields in the app. Also some of the larger text boxes will let you type multiple lines, but will only save the top line. Several other smaller bugs as well.
Positives: very convenient for quick rule references, best system I've used to keep track of battles, initiative, conditions, etc. Great way to roll perception checks etc. for your rogues without them knowing you're rolling. Lots of things I like... just really wish I didn't pay $5 for a beta version.

With all the bugs, it's still worth 2 stars because it's a useful app. Would be 4 if they fixed bugs, 5 if they would allow adding spells and feats to monsters and NPCs that would link to the spells and feats they already have in their DB. AKA if I look at a monster I added with pounce, I should be able to tap pounce to see what it does instead of having to go look it up myself.

Before the last updatethere were very few crashes that could be ignored, but now it crashes when trying to do anything other than add monsters and check their stats. Using the spells and treasure tab crashes, having a monster's health go to zero or fewer causes a crash, among other things.

I really enjoy this app, but the constant crashes make it near impossible to do anything.

Hope this new update fixes crashes and loss of data.

I was very impressed with the amount of detail on everything. It seemed very easy to build and save encounters, until they sometimes disappear. It definitely Speeds up combat by tracking stats and initiative order, etc.

It has so much potential the amount of data at your finger tips is amazing and its so easy to add monsters to an encounter.

It is set up very cool...but doesn’t save any character info and crashes nonstop. What a waste of money. If it worked, it would be great. Too bad it doesn’t.

Unfortunately, with recent iOS updates, this app has very serious stability issues. It crashes *frequently* and sometimes wipes out all of your data in the process. I have had this happen 2 times during critical combats and refuse to use this app again until the stability issues are fixed. My old review is below and I will restore my 5 star review once the app is functional again. It really is a wonderful app when it is working properly.

I have tried most of the "combat management" apps on the market and this is, hands down, the best one currently available. I find it so useful that I don't think I would be willing to GM Pathfinder without it. It speeds up combats tremendously and makes accessing rules a breeze. I find the interface very user-friendly and intuitive. This is the one app you really need to GM Pathfinder efficiently.

My only suggestions for improvement are to 1) include links to feats and spells in the monster listings so a GM can immediately jump to the appropriate rules reference in the heat of battle and 2) allow saving information on characters and monsters to more than one folder so multiple campaigns can be more easily managed.

This app is already great and, with a little more refinement, could be absolutely amazing. Kyle Olson (the dev) has done a fantastic job here and I look forward to seeing what he does next.

There are a few initiative trackers out there right now. Most of them are bad. A couple are okay. This one is phenomenal. The ONLY major drawback I have encountered so far is the occasional crashing during editing. It is important to note, however, that this problem only usually occurs during editing. Just prep your encounters ahead of gaming and you shouldn't have any interruption.

This is a great product that really does everything a DM needs and the amount of work and care put into this app is overwhelmingly evident. If you are a DM- BUY THIS APP. It is a great aid to speed up combat and will make your job a lot easier. And your support can only make it get even better.

This is by far the most useful combat tracker for Pathfinder. Almost every monster I needed to prep for the games I was running was pre-loaded into the app. It saved a TON of time at the table because the stats for the monsters were right there on the screen.

I did not experience any crash issues, but on my iPad 2 it does run a bit slow, especially when swapping between apps.

Overall, the app manages to keep up with the PC version.

I've tried several similar apps but they either couldn't do what I wanted or were too cumbersome to use. This one lets you enter basic or detailed stats for your PC's and load monsters from a menu. You can edit them or even apply templates to them. There are a couple of features I would like to see or maybe I haven't figured it out yet, but so far I'm very happy with this app. It even has the rules from the SRD in a tab.

I just stumbled on the Combat Manager and it's perfect for my dm needs. If I just want an initiative tracker, it's that...but the integration of the prd for quick reference to monster defenses and the ability to quickly add conditions(and look them up) makes this a near perfect dm utility. I say "near perfect" but I'm hard pressed to find areas for improvement at this stage. The developer has supported this on the desk top for quite some time so I look forward to this great app's continued development!

It costs more than DM Tools, but it does so much more and so much better it is well worth it. You can put all the stats for the PCs in and then add monsters and even apply templates on the fly for an encounter. The monster list looks great and even has a good editor to add more ( 10x better than the one in the other app). I will definitely be using is for my Rise of the Runelords game next month! Looking forward to updates!
