Magewright,
Great App!
I will change this to 5-stars when I get a definitive answer to this question. Once I add the comics to this app, can I delete the file in the folder? I use an iPhone for this app and I cannot find any detailed information about this app or how to contact the developer. I want to free up some space and it seems I can free up about 15+ GB if I can delete the files in the folder once adding the comic books to the app. You might want to consider explaining that the files are being uploaded directly to the app, so people like me do not get confused as to whether or not I have to keep the files in the folder. I tested 1 comic I finished to see by deleting the file from my download folder, but the comic still works in this app. That is an important feature to explain in the overview for this app, and you may consider explaining that while in the app so people don’t save 15+ GB of files they don’t need to have… I have an iPhone and the storage is limited. Thank you. I love the app a lot and every thing works great!
Zinc7,
Not quite useful
Have been looking for an alternative to the classic “Bookman Pro” which did *exactly* what I needed and nothing more. There are three important features that this one lacks. The thing is, Comics aren’t the only thing I want to read, I store books and manuals, and good luck finding them in this app out of some 1000 document images of the first page, many of which don’t have pictorial front covers. So the first lack is a list by document name. Second thing is organization- there’s more than one way to achieve this, Bookman had multiple bookshelves, so I could have one designed to select by pictorial front cover, and another shelf where I could pick from a list of document titles sorted alphabetically. And lastly, Bookman had an integrated browser you could use to download PDF files directly from the web. Or if not that, if at least there was an online import of some kind where I could use Safari to find a document and download it via some import ability directly into this app. Maybe it has all these features and I just can’t find them, the reader part of this program is fine, but selection, organization, and web integration seems weak.
Napaulleon,
Good option for Old Comicrack users but incomplete
It’s a good application with :
+ very good support of comic rack metadata ;-)
+ ability to tag the books (useful for rating or identifying broken ones)
+ unread books are identified with a blue triangle on the top right of the cover
+ keeping zoom when reading book (deactivated by default in the settings). When you reopen the same book, the zoom is lost. + a nice add on will be ability to select in the settings the default zoom between (page width or full page).

The reason I put only 4 stars is the following one. I’d like to read comic in landscape mode and with a zoom set to page width. Currently, the only missing functionality is ability to move page by a single tap on the right border. In my actual reader, a single tap scroll down and, at the bottom at the page, proceed to the next page. Currently, except if I miss something, with this app I have to slide up in order to scroll down and to see the bottom of the page, and then I have to slide left to go to the next page.
Legomaker101,
Amazing
Definitely the best comic book reader out there not only is it free, it also has no ads

The only problem I have is that you can’t change the page layout to read from right to left for manga other than that it’s great
Akk2000,
Free, works easily, needs global zoom options
Great free app. Easy to load comics, it works! Needs global zoom settings for portrait and landscape modes. It resets manual punch and pull zoom with each page turn. Needs to offer zoom setting to fill screen horizontally in landscape so I can just scroll up and down and then turn the page, like viewers on windows.

Edit: thx for the response, never thought to look there. Kudos for your attention to my concern. Is there a way I could contact you further to discuss feature ideas?
primaryleg,
Simple and easy, but I wish a tiny bit more functional
Great app that does what it says, but I wish we could rename files. I downloaded a ton and the names are kinda jumbled so o can’t read any of the tiles before clicking on them. It also messed up the sorting making reading in order a pain. I could fix it myself if I could edit the file names. I also kinda wish I could tap the sides to swipe pages like in iBooks. Other than that, no complaints or notes.
GuyFleegman,
Works, but needs improvement
Edit: my previous complaint was addressed, but I ran into an even bigger problem. It could not display many of my cbz and cbr files correctly. After the cover, it would jump immediately to a page in the middle of the book, getting back to the early pages much later. Other reader apps on both iOS and Mac have no problems with the same files. Deleted this and got Chunky instead, which displayed those files correctly.
Mellothumb,
Needs some quality of life improvements
I love the app, but please, add these two options:

* The option to choose orientation if it’s a manga, basically to have an in-app way to choose instead of having to rely on metadata.

* The option to automatically choose and lock orientation and a “fit to screen” zoom level so it stays that way and users don’t need to constantly adjust it.

Edit: Thanks for the new update, now it’s perfect and much more accessible to read manga.
Lastic2001,
How to turn off double page in landscape????
This needs to bean option. I like to enlarge the page. How do I turn it back to one page even in landscape mode? Can’t find a settings screen. Now when I click the back button after reading a book the app shuts down then have to restart.
Stevemcc555,
Comic Reader
Have a question about the app. Some of the pages on certain comics or books I read on the app are upside down. Is this a glitch in the app.
