Rolling into the new year with a new dice log... and more!

This update brings the following improvements:
- Adds a dice log, containing all your recent rolls
- Supports for importing spells from XML files
- Fixes for displaying web content when running Construct for iPad on macOS
- Easily search on a web compendium when the in-app compendium yields no results
- Performance improvements when importing new content
- Visual tweaks
2.1.0
2021-12-14
Construct has learned a few new tricks with this update that will make your life as a DM easier. Any rolls in monster feature or action text and spell descriptions can now be made by simply tapping on them. Spells mentioned in a monster's stat block can now be tapped to bring up all their details from the compendium. (And if you don't have the spell, Construct will look it up online.)

These new features are built on top of new analyses Construct performs when importing content into the app (and once when you launch this update for the first time). This process is designed to be re-run for future updates whenever Construct's algorithms are refined or extended.

From one DM to another: thanks for using Construct. Please reach out with any feedback or suggestions on how to make Construct indispensable at your table.

-- Construct 2.0 --

Construct now supports iPad! Making full use of the larger screen, you can run encounters and display compendium content side-by-side! Construct also works great with Split View and Slide Over, adapting to the available space and the most important info at your fingertips.

There's also a bunch of bugfixes and improvements for existing iPhone users:
- Added support for legendary actions & reactions in creature stat blocks. The SDR content will automatically have this now, but custom content will need to be reimported.
- Added support for importing monsters from XML files.
- Added a universal "Roll" button to any stat block, making it easy to roll ability checks and saves.
- Improved error handling in the compendium importer.
- Added support to show the system's review request dialog. Thanks in advance for leaving a rating or review!
- Tweaked the design of the encounter combatant row, running encounter action bar, combatant tags view and dice action popover.
- Fixed a bug where the hit area of items in the adventure tab would be misaligned after an interactive back swipe transition.
- Disabled "tap outside/swipe down to close" for some sheets to safeguard against accidental data loss.
- Hey, I'm glad you got this far! You get advantage on Persuasion checks made when e-mailing [email protected] to let me know what you would like to see in a future update.
- Fixed incorrect prefilled number in the popover when tapping on a PCs initiative.
- Fixed an issue with compendium search. If your custom creatures are not showing up when searching, please reimport them.
- Improved reliability of the difficulty configuration control on the encounter settings screen.
- Improved the adventuring party detail view to show up to date names when a member of the party changes their name.
- Fixed an issue that made disappearing views/sheets appear empty while they are animating out.

Shadowcoron,
Great program for DM
This is the greats program for the cost. Wish could have a monster and npc in the list. Like from beast tomes 1,2,3.
It's just stacking cans,
Problems with edits - update fixed
Update:after communicating with the developer, the bug I’d encountered was fixed. I’ve updated my original star rating. Responsive dev and a nice clean app - 4stars

original feedback: Tried to edit an entry detached from the compendium and any attempts to customize bounced with no changes saved Otherwise I like the clean look and the dice roll beta feature worked nicely
n8lightfoot,
Handy
Great for what it is! Wish you could add custom monsters, the current setup to duplicate things is ok but you can’t edit the actions and I’d love to be able to include attacks and other information under monster stats.
