Overall very good user experience. Videos can play in portrait or landscape. App seemed stable and well designed. Negative reviews clearly are from an earlier version.

Video courses were good but didn’t always align exactly with the practice exam questions. Great math review section with detailed video explanations, despite a couple of minor errors, which the school said they will address immediately.

Reading material was essentially a transcript of the video course, which was detailed.

Large exam question database (at least for my subscription of General Contractor and Law/ Business). Prompt email response from the school in regards to clarification on some exam questions.

Audio courses could benefit from improved app interface, or a local download, to allow better auto play between sections (1/3 of time they would encounter a playback error, which was inconvenient when driving or on the job site).

App could also benefit from a virtual calculator plugin, as I had to toggle apps (to a separate calculator app) during the tests to compute answers.

I did not pay for the live virtual portion of the school, but it’s great that they offer this feature in app.

The only school I found with such a polished online/ app interface. School was extremely accommodating during Covid-19 test reschedules by Contractors License Board; by extending my subscription at no additional cost.

The explanations in the app are extremely thorough and helpful in understand the complete process of obtaining a Contractor License. The step by step videos will answer any and all questions to help you navigate through the process. Before I decided to obtain a Contractor License I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. The step by step videos most definitely helped elevate that feeling and the clarity of the explanations put me at ease during the process. The app and school are an absolute must if you plan on obtaining a Contractor License.

All can say is if your looking to pass the exam and it’s taking longer then expected these guys have been supportive and incredibly helpful.
All they have done is help me with absolutely everything. I’m very disciplined when it comes to studying at my age yet they have in person classes that I signed up for that will help. Everything you need they will provide to pass and be successful at you venture in the construction word.

You can use at home, at work and even when driving, all of its features make it possible If you are at Home you can watch the videos, read the information or take a practice test, if driving then you can just listen. It gives you a lot of information. I’m getting my test in a week…. So I will be back and update how it went for me

my recommendation for anyone taking the test is to schedule the trade and law on 2 separate days a couple weeks apart so you can focus on studying one at a time.

this is a great way to pass your exam. i had to renew my classes i think 3 times because of my work schedule but passed both parts of the exam on my first try. how i found it best worked for me was retaking all the practice tests until i got over a 90% on all of the parts. i only watched the video courses when i was having a hard time passing or understanding the questions.

the only down side is for the c-10 electrical exam i think only 2 or 3 questions in the real exam but most of the questions were similar to the practice questions so if you pass all of the practice tests and actually understand the questions you’ll be able to figure out the answer on your test day.

for the law exam about 50-60% of the questions you study on the practice tests are on the actual tests but again if you pass all the practice tests and understand the questions you’ll do fine.

I love the app but I have a really hard time skipping back 10 seconds due to the fact that the buttons are so tiny on my screen in the mobile version and I’m constantly getting annoyed bc I have to really try and get the buttons at the bottom of my screen, maybe you guys can update the app and have bigger buttons on the video screen and also it’s hard to grab the ball at the bottom of the screen when it’s in the middle bc I find myself switching pages within my phone to try to skip forward. Make the buttons on the video screen BIGGER please thank you !

I have thinking about doing this for about a year now. I like that your able to listen to this on the go. You can pick this up on your phone, computer, tablet and you place is saved. I still studying but so far this is a great tool. Only thing I don’t like is the 6 months. I should have looked at the application for the exam. I didn’t realize you had to have a business name and everything set to take the test. Seems like a lot to do and study.

Nice to be able to use this on multiple devices so I can study at work, on my phone or my laptop. Sittin at the beach is the best classroom I’ve found yet. I can get used to this general contracting stuff

I took and passed my Law / Business/ and C-36 Trade exam today at the CSLB.

Out of the several hundred questions that I study in this exam for the trade only about 10 of them were relevant to 115 questions on the actual CSLB TRADE EXAM. I felt totally impressed and unprepared for the trade exam.

Here’s what you should know. Much of what’s in the CSLB trade exam pertains to Gas Line sizing and fixture venting systems. The Contractors Intelligence school app has zero prep information regarding these topics. The app wastes a lot of your time focusing on OSHA rules and blueprint legends that aren’t in the actual exam. In addition to that the terminology that the CSLB EXAM uses in its questions are different from the terminology used in the school app. I don’t know how it could be so far off.

But the LAW EXAM study material is very good. It’s just the Trade prep that sucked.

Their customer service is great. I have submitted my application for review and within hours or next days I get a response back. Having the practice test is also great.
