ConversationBuilderDeluxe™ (Pat. Pend.) is designed to help elementary aged children learn how to have multi-exchange conversations with their peers in a variety of social settings. The content for ConversationBuilderDeluxe™ is identical to the IAP's of the award winning ConversationBuilder™, but in a stand alone app.
The auditory pattern of conversation is presented in a visual format to help students recognize and master the flow of conversation. Students will learn when it is appropriate to introduce themselves, ask questions, make observations and change the subject of the conversation.
Being able to converse with peers is the cornerstone of developing relationships, and ConversationBuilder™ promotes development of this skill that so many elementary aged children struggle with in a fun and engaging way.

-Students record their half of the conversation
-Two group and two one-on-one conversation settings
-Student can initiate or respond to conversations
-Conversations can be 4 or 8 exchanges long

Needs more explanation
I love the concept of this app because I have a son with autism and he can tend to say things off topic and not keep a conversation going. However, the "right" answers aren't very obvious (which, in theory, could help someone figure out the nuances of conversations) but it does nothing to teach the child as to why certain choices are better. It just asks you to select a better choice and my son will quickly click on all choices to get the right one without really understanding it. For the price it should have more teaching to it.

Disappointed
As a teacher working with children with hearing loss I am very disappointed with the content. There is absolutely no racial diversity among the children in the scenarios. Needs a major update to reflect a realistic reflection of the society we live in.

Very helpful and engaging
This app is perfect for teaching kids with ASD how to appropriately initiate a conversation as well as join one in progress. The app has a clear, simple presentation without any distracting movement or sound which is perfect for kids on the spectrum who could be easily overstimulated. With many different conversations in several subjects, this app gives a lot of opportunity for practice. The ability to record and replay the conversations allow for follow up instruction by the parent/teacher/therapist and the kids really seem to enjoy hearing themselves in conversations.

This is a great app! My ASD students love it. For those who do not usually have typical conversations with peers, they love listening to themselves having an expected conversation with appropriate intonation. It has inspired one of my students to engage in many more conversations during the school day. Teachers have been asking me what we are working on because he is responding so well to this as therapy. It was worth every penny!

Very Interactive
This app has really helped my child with (hearing loss) establish and build conversations. I noticed a difference right away. It is very interactive and allows the chld to participate in a mock conversation and then replay the conversation hearing her own voice! Awesome! I only wish there were games built in to encourage longer use of the app. It's very useful, but quite booring from a child's point of view.

Another great app from Mobile Education
I have have the standard Conversation Builder for several months and it is a wonderful app - and had been a great help to improve my son's conversation skills. I just got the new deluxe version - just as good as the original but with all the in-app purchases built -in - 160 conversations ! Great app
