Go beyond star gazing. Visit nearly 5,000 lifelike exoplanets and navigate 180 trillion square light years of the universe beyond our solar system. Featuring 6 modes of interstellar travel and examination, Cosmic Atlas is an open-world space exploration app for those who look up at the night sky and wonder what we may find in the infinite frontier of the universe.

Try it free and fly anywhere in the solar system plus six bonus planetary systems for a total of 50+ stunning planets, moons, and dwarf planets. Upgrade for all the incredible planets and features to explore every corner of the Milky Way mapped by NASA, JPL, ESA, and other international space programs.

::::: VISIT THOUSANDS OF PLANETS :::::

First-person view of 4,987 recently discovered exoplanets with stunning 3D models featuring detailed atmospheres and surfaces using science-driven artist renderings, including:

[•] Potentially habitable Earth-like planets in the Habitable Zone that can support liquid water
[•] Hot terrestrial planets closer to the system's star with landscapes from windswept sands to volcanic infernos or oppressive Venus-like atmospheres
[•] Cold terrestrial planets past the habitable zone covered with rocks, frozen deserts, or sheets of ice
[•] Jovian gas giants with colorful cloud layers based on the elements visible in the upper atmosphere at different temperatures
[•] Neptunian ice giants with outer clouds that appear glassy smooth or enveloped with strings of cool clouds

::PLUS:: High resolution planets, moons, and dwarf planets in our own Solar System created from enhanced NASA mission images

::::: MASSIVE OPEN COSMIC ENVIRONMENT :::::

[•] Over 180 trillion square light years of the Milky Way ready to explore at it’s true scale
[•] 116,000+ unique stars individually colored to match their true color temperature in blue, yellow, or red spectrums
[•] 3,710 unique planetary systems with confirmed exoplanets

We’re exciting to announce some big updates in Cosmic Atlas 2.1.1!

::::: Major Feature Update :::::
Telescope Mode is here! Our first iteration of the AR star-gazing feature where you can point your phone to see where nearby planets or distant stars can be found in the night sky. From there you can tap on any label to see more info and - feature unique to Cosmic Atlas - you can fly to the selected star or planet in first person with the tap of a button.

::::: Major Database Update :::::
Our biggest database update since launch, the number of exoplanets available to explore has DOUBLED to a whopping 4,987 planets outside of our solar system!

With the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope we’re anticipating some incredible new discoveries in the next year that will bring this total higher and provide a much deeper understanding of known exoplanets in systems like TRAPPIST-1. Stay tuned for more!

::::: New Settings :::::
Systems Only :: Enable to hide labels for stars without exoplanets in Pilot, Navigator, & Telescope modes.
Objects with Info Only :: Enable to hide labels for stars without detailed data available.

::::: Feedback / Bug Report Feature :::::
The main menu has a new [FEEDBACK] option (with a bug icon) to make it easy for users to let us know about any bugs, issues, incorrect information, or any other feedback to help us continue to improve the app.

2.0
2022-02-20
2.0 is the first of more big updates to come in 2022, starting with a new HDR rendering option!

HDR (High Dynamic Range) realistically simulates the vast difference in brightness between stars, planets and the night sky. Stars will glow and create lens flares, and the camera will adjust its sensitivity based on what is in front of it. Turn this off if you prefer a more photographic look where you can see details in everything at once.

New settings menu to toggle HDR renderer on or off (more setting options coming soon)

DRAGON090909,
Why?
This is a great app. Very interesting. For a while, it was one of my favorites, a 5 star app that I bought for like $3.00. But now, after I bought the app the first time, it became free. And now almost all the features you have to buy for $1.00, even though I bought the app before that upgrade. Why doesn’t it transfer over so I don’t have to pay $4.00 for what people are now paying $1.00 for?
Pacific Fleet,
Nice!
This app is unique, I have sky safari and it is very detailed, I did not think I would need an astronomy app ever again until this app came along and changed everything. The one thing that I have been looking forward to all along is finding an app that not only has exoplanets, something sky safari does not have, but 3D model for each them, that pretty cool. I really look forward to more features and the other 2,000 discovered exoplanets models I know will just be stunning. Thanks for all the hard work you put into the app, you definitely made one customer happy!
Bill525,
Unimpressive
Hard to use. The graphics are over the top and irritating, like the fake lens flares in telescope mode, and every star unimaginably bright. The navigation is difficult to use. This app wants to be a game rather than a learning tool.
MollGreen678,
Incredible Visuals
So cool! Such a fascinating way to explore the universe without going too far or needing to try too hard. The visuals are stunning and I love how I can go around and do whatever I want or jump to specific planets and stars to learn more. Overall, super cool, really pretty, and quite informative.
medley1981,
This is going to keep me busy
So I know very little about space (I took oceanography as my natural science in college) but this tool is amazing because I feel like I can just go anywhere and see anything and it’s (almost) endless. Really great detail and awesome features.
Allison757,
Woah! Love this App
So freakin’ cool. Space in general is so hard for me to wrap my head around because it is so vast, but this app really lets me explore all its nooks and crannies. The visual details are awesome and there is just so much to discover, I could spend hours jumping from planets to stars to moons taking it all in.
Guru Aung,
Super cool!
It crashed in last version, got developer response so quick, they fixed it now running smoothly. Although mentioned in-app purchase, I couldn’t locate where to purchase.
Space Kat19,
Stunning exoplanets!!!
Incredible to see so many detailed exoplanets! I always found space to be such a mystery but these realistic planets and trips around the galaxy has been so much fun!
despaina,
Brilliant app
Really well done and it feels like you can go anywhere in our galaxy
QueenFoxi,
What happened?
I’ve been using this app for a few years and I love it. Even purchased the rest of it. Now suddenly it keeps saying it cannot connect. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled. Restarted my phone and all. I have an iPhone. Nothing helps. Please fix this. :(
