Lol, I’m a right brained person and the first thing i noticed in looking at the pics is you have four vegetables being subtracted from 7 people. This kind of stuff really tripped me up as a kid. I get for a lot of people this wouldn’t matter, but I’d bet for people like me, who already struggle with left brain work this causes a struggle. Suddenly, even as an adult my brain has to figure out the correlation between the people and the vegetables and why the people had the vegetables, and am I taking them away, or did the people eat them? When really you are just want me to subtract 4 from 7. Lol! This kind of stuff would float around in my head as a kid and make me feel insecure and unsure of the problem and the answer outcome. I had a lot of difficulty getting grounded in the concreteness of math. I’d keep pics consistent with like kind in an app for kids where you’re laying a foundation for basics, because it causes an extra distraction for many highly right brained kids that really need the chance to just become solid in the basic exercise of adding and subtracting.
