Description
Countryballs at War is a Grand Strategy Game with turn mechanics and real-time combats involved. Your aim is to make your country a world superpower by building strong armies, controlling tax rates, increasing the happiness of your people, and upgrading your country.
In Countryballs at War, you can declare war, send ally requests, sign peace treaties, offer peace to enemies, and puppet weakened countries. You should choose your allies carefully because enemies will always try to capture your territories and destroy you. If you fail to rule your country, there will be rebellions in your country, and with rebellions, you will mostly lose half of your territories and armies.
You will start each game with attack and diplomacy points. Each time you attack a territory, it will consume one attack point. Likewise, each time you use diplomacy actions, it will consume one diplomacy point. After you end a turn, these points will reset. You can upgrade these points' limits in Academies!
In combats, your aim is to cross your enemies' borders by sending your units to the battlefield. Enemies will not accept that to happen that easily. So, you should call your allies to battle and you should build strong armies!
To build a strong army, you should unlock units from 'Barracks' and 'Artillery Depot' and upgrade them when you reach enough resources. There are tons of units that are 'unique' to each country and more will be coming soon with the next updates.
There are world events in Countryballs at War such as the 'Pirate Invasion'. Pirates will often invade territories with seaports, so you have to be careful!
Lastly, all countryballs are available to play, but some of them are locked. To unlock them you should find them! They are hidden in some areas. You can get some hints by clicking the 'Get Hint!' button in the game.

Amazing Game just quite Buggy
I love this game and it’s simplicity, it really is a great game to fulfill one’s fantasies of taking over the world! But there is many issues that come with it. First off, whenever you go into a battle an ad will play before you can fight, That’s fine, when the battle ends however, there are two ads that must play in order to return to the main map. These two ads seem to freeze the game on a loading screen or play the ad in the background while the ad isn’t even there anymore and then freeze the game. And this happens around 60% of the time, it’s very annoying especially for such a cool game. Another thing is sometimes when clicking the settings or going inside your base to upgrade stuff the buttons will simply just not work and the only way to fix it is by waiting around five minutes for it to pop up or restarting the game. Simply put, I love the game idea it is just executed poorly.

Great but definite improvements are needed.
This game is great for it’s quality and I have many ideas to add for it but it’s biggest issue is the ads. Every single time I press a button for diplomacy or battle it just shows a crap ad that lags out the game. It’s a great game though and unique with different abilities. I have many ideas that would be great to add for this game. For example if you were to expand the tech tree for every nation and maybe make them unique depending on the country. Also add a navy and a naval tree so a enemy country can’t just attack any port freely. Improve the AI mainly because it’s so easy and they only make farmers which a musketeer can take out a whole army of. Have different game modes in different time periods with different tech and allow people to play any nation not just a few. Also with puppets and allies we should have better options with diplomacy and resources. I think if you had a option that allowed us to take resources, provinces, and troops from our puppets and the other way around if we gave our puppets or allies troops, resources, or land. I hope the developers see this and take some notes on my ideas because I really think they could help improve the fun of the game and honestly if they added all of this I wouldn’t care how many adds I had to watch.

It’s great but…
This is by far one of the most fun mobile games I have played but, the game has to many ads and whenever I play a random add will pop out of nowhere. Another bad part about the adds is for most of them I can’t click out of so I have to restart the game which most of the time didn’t save. Also it seems like it updates every 4 months but I really want new updates like maybe a WW2 mode or WW1. Not just that but it also gets really easy after a while even the hard mode is super easy to complete. I also think there should be more different kinds of soldiers and more strategic because taking land is so easy and only takes a couple of seconds when it should be more of a battle. And there are also only like 20 countries in each mode which makes it very easy to take over the world because all you have to do is declare war on a country than fight them once make them your puppet than annex and than you have a LOAD of materials giving you a huge advantage! So creators just please look at these and maybe fix them or add some of the things I requested but further than these complaints it had been an amazing game!!

Getting too easy
I’ve figured out a recipe that I can basically win conquest on with any nation. Take one province and start producing leather on the first turn. Level up your nation and use the diamond to buy a militia. If you use a farmer in front of your militia your military is virtually unstoppable in the early game. I’ve been out numbered 10 to 1 and still won easily with this formation. Once you get 15 leather upgrade your farmer and you are now completely unstoppable, even if you fight several countries at a time. Basically I’ve won the game in about the first ten minutes of starting it, all I have to do is go through the turns to complete the objectives.
Also unlocking new nations doesn’t always work. I’ve paid $10 for no ads and many ways to unlock new nations is by simply visiting their hometown. This doesn’t usually work for me tho. I have only been able to unlock one new nation which is pretty annoying.

Please read this!!
This game has serious potential and I enjoy it as it is however, the ai can get a bit dull, even on the hardest difficulty. It seems the ai hoards all of their materials and doesn’t upgrade much at all. This makes it really easy to conquer the biggest of countries. Whenever I build an army, later in the game I use the academy to increase the amount of troops I can have. It seems the ai doesn’t do this and they are maxed out at two lines and they never upgrade their troops Much at all. If this game could improve the ai, it would make the game much more replay able and enjoyable, please take this into consideration. I would like to see this game grow and expand on what it already has to offer, good luck 🫡.

Great game for any time
in my personal opinion this game is a great game to play during any time of the day, especially car rides. i also think that there should be a bit more added to the game though, like more game modes and more countries. some examples would be ww1, ww2, other historical time periods. added other smaller and bigger countries like finland, the baltics, yugoslavia, belgium, countries like that depending on the time period. i also think there should be different soldiers for each countries army that other countries don’t have. an example of this is greece with spartan warriors and italy with roman warriors. sort of like how japan in this game has samari. there is a bug in this game and it’s when you go to help your ally in a fight they made they don’t allow you to join it and i hope that gets fixed. but over all this is a great game.

Good game, could be better
Sunk many hours into this one, it’s better than most of the other mobile strategy games out there but there are a few key improvements that could be made. Here’s a list of them:
1. Reworked diplomacy:
I think the diplomacy should be reworked so that countries have different attitudes towards each other for a multitude of reasons (past wars, shared border, alliance attitudes, jealousy, etc.)
2. Win criteria
I think the win criteria should be updated so that each game is not just taking over the entire world. (Win criteria’s could be different for each country or continent)
3. Rebalancing
The game is a little too easy, once you get better than one country you get better than all the countries. I think this could be redone so that countries that have less resources are more likely to ally against you. (This would have more historical precedent too because countries would often times ally against the strongest power, Napoleonic wars, WW1, etc.)
If these improvements are made that would make the game pretty perfect and deserving of a five star rating!

Better than expected
I’ve been playing this game a lot recently to kill time. I read the other reviews about how buggy the game is, but I found a solution to that. Before playing the game, you can be offline and still play. This causes those ads to not pop up in your game and potentially freeze it. Sure, you can’t auto resolve or anything that requires the Internet, but from my perspective, I partially use it unless I accidentally join a battle. This is a perk that can fix many problems the game as, like loading times and crashes. So overall, I think this game deserves at least a higher rating.

Great Game!
This game is very fun but it has balance in issues. The cannons in the game are to overpowered and if you’re good at the game you can get them in seconds. Also this game can get glitchy when it comes to ads and Mexico can randomly come back in the middle of the map after it gets conquered. I don’t know what causes that but I thinks it’s hilarious so please keep old world Mexico in the game. Also I wish there was more content and countries in the game like for example I wish Norway and other Nordic countries where in the game and I wish you can come back after you lose the game but this is my opinion. Anyway this game is amazing and you should play it today!

Great game but needs improvements
The game it self is really great I my self had been waiting a long time for this game to come out and the gameplay is great but the bugs like the loading screen freezing and the buttons not working are really annoying and so I have to leave the game comeback and do everything that I did that turn again I love the idea of this game it’s just not executed rightly I really do hope once the next update whenever that is comes out along with the new scenario and improvements also comes bugs fixes asides from the bug the rest of the game is great I hope this game continues to get better there’s no need for a rush
