Description
Les Bois Verts Inc. actually came to existence on January 5th, 1978. Our first location was situated at 457, Spring Garden Street as a non-profit, parent controlled child care center. The main goal was to provide quality child care services to children of normal or challenging development and their families. The emphasis was always to create a homelike environment and a sense of a community within a community. In 1987, the Centre moved to the Seville 50. By 1988, there was a high demand for spaces for 18 months and another classroom was created. On November 23rd, 1999 the Ministère de La Famille proposed the creation of “Centres de la Petite Enfance” (CPE) offering childcare at $ 5 a day and the centre changed its name to Centre de la Petite Enfance les Bois Verts, Inc. In 2000, 50 places have been added with the (RSG) or home care providers. After several years of evolution and change, we are proud today to have 60 spaces. Emphasis has always been to create an intimate environment and a sense of community in a community. Over the years the center has grown and expanded but the focus has remained; that is, the child is part of a family and therefore parents and educators need to work together to create a caring, quality child care environment. We are proud in having professional and qualified staff. Parents feel a level of comfort, knowing that there is so much consistency in our Centre. We are committed to contribute to the well-being and overall development and harmony of all the children in our care by going the extra mile and providing professional support whenever there is the need.
