Like classes
The classes are fun, which is why I signed up for a membership. I tend to sign up for things and then forget the terms, when things renew, premiums, and so on.
The app and website are not helpful for me to find the details of the membership I committed to. Sarah in customer service was very helpful. She let me know I had a premium membership and it’s expiration date.
I wish I didn’t have to contact customer service for such basic information. The app needs to give this info to the consumer, e.g. under “Accounts”. This information needs to be easily accessible by the consumer. It is almost as though Craftsy hopes people will forget they have auto-renew on and let their membership renew into another year unintentionally. As I said, I enjoy the classes. Please work on fixing this problem.

Good content, Bad app
There’s a lot of videos that are mislabeled or have the wrong photo (for example a video on yarn dying that has a canning photo). And they don’t always seem to belong in the categories that they have been put in which makes it hard to find a class you started later. And every month or so, I have to delete and redownload the app because it can’t load.

Just awful
None of the over 100 classes I’ve purchased over the YEARS and years I’ve used Craftsy show up on the app. Messaged support and they basically said that I should search each class by name to download them. Let my membership lapse, but rejoined when they brought back premium member benefits. Those “benefits” don’t exist in the app at all, even when I search the class name. And the pdfs are accessible on the app. Overall an absolute disaster. Not being able to access classes I purchased without Wi-Fi when I’m traveling really makes me regret the money I’ve spent over the year. 0/10 Wouldn’t recommend

Company possibly going out of business?
They want every penny they can get out of you. If you pass a minute after your payment goes through (kids were pressing buttons) they will not refund anything no matter how much you explain it was a mistake. Most other apps/subscription services offer a 20-30 day grace to contact customer support but this site doesn’t. So make sure you REALLY like it and are ready to pay for the year because you won’t see that money back if the payment goes through.

Never share credit card auto payment with this
I have purchased Craftsy annual plan in the year 2022 February. I didn’t set up subscription renewal in my Apple wallet. But still they are trying to renew with out my knowledge and by luckily I have locked my card so the renewal didn’t happen. Again after one month again I got notification from my credit card that Craftsy tried to purchase subscription and it’s denied as you locked your card. It’s seriously frustrating and I advise everyone don’t use craftsty.

App does not work
Love the platform, good content formatted well. The app is useless. I can’t watch any classes in the app, the download feature does not work. Oh, and if you submit a support ticket they won’t read it, they’ll send you basic instructions that you already know. I guess if you don’t understand tabs or scrolling their support is relevant; however, if you’ve used technology in the last 10 years, then their support won’t do much for you.

Bad app
Glad it is back but can’t see either of the Palmer Pletsch classes on my iPad thatI bought a few years ago. I used to be able to view them on my iPad. Now can only view them on a computer.

I’ve been a member of Craftsy for years and I have learned so much, in my sewing craft, watching their videos. There are so many more full length videos for other crafting areas. I highly recommend Craftsy.

Super unimpressed
I subscribed during Black Friday for $.99. Turns out that got me hardly anything except multiple daily emails with requests to buy more stuff. Now I want to cancel my account but I can’t because I ”have an active subscription.” 🙄 I was also doused to be able to share this with friends but that feature never worked. Super unimpressed Craftsy.
