Description

The Create to Learn app offers a collection of more than 150 video tutorials on digital skills and traditional knowledge using digital tools. The tutorials are all created by First Nations, Métis and Inuit creators to share their skills with students and youth.

Browse by category to build the skills you're most interested in, explore the topic offered by each creator, and download and store videos to learn offline!

Create to Learn is a program of TakingITGlobal in partnership with ImagineNATIVE. New creators and videos are welcome, send us a message on Instagram or an e-mail via our web site if you'd like to participate and share your knowledge!

We've improved offline mode so that you can see creator images while offline if you re-install the app!

We've made it so the Download All option should not show up when you're on a cellular data network (Wi-Fi only) to try to help you avoid data overages! Make sure you are careful about file size if you're downloading individual videos too - after clicking Download you'll see a prompt which shows you the file size of each resolution option.

We also fixed some minor design issues on the iPod touch resolution!

- We've added a new Download All feature for those that have devices that will remain mostly offline!
- Save that bandwidth! We've fixed up a minor issue with image caching to make sure you don't have to re-download images every time you load the app.

Offline mode! You can now download videos and then use the entire app offline from Wi-fi or a cellular network.

Shine and polish! We've also added a new logo header and given the fonts in the app an upgrade.

We've tweaked the home screen layout to feature tutorials by our creators with shiny new images created by our friend Patrick Shannon! There's also a new Tutorials view under Explore where you can see all Tutorials visually.
