I can’t get enough
I absolutely love listening to Ashley and Brit! They are my other best friends. I get so much joy when the bad guy is caught or an update comes out and DNA has solved a cold case. I lost my brother in-law years ago and I grew up with him and my sister as friends and then as they fell in love and later had my beautiful niece. He was really my big brother and my teacher. He helped teach me how to drive and gave me dating advice when I started lol. When he was killed by one of his childhood friends it pushed me to want justice not just for him but for so many people that have went through the pain of losing someone they love. I have always been a crime junkie and you guys have provided me a way of feeling like I’m helping in some small way. I live by our crime junkie rules and I’m teaching my own family the same. Anytime I can sign or donate I’m on it. We have to stop thinking bad things will never happen to us because that is a lie. But we can all live smart and be prepared if we run into trouble. I love this app and I know you will too!

My favorite podcast of all time.
This app is so great. It’s easy to separate out the bonus episodes to binge them (relentlessly haha). I listen every day! I love to go back to the early episodes too from time to time, they’re really fun to listen to! Ashley and Brit are so compassionate and caring and their hearts for the work shine through loud and clear!! Even tho the content is scary and tragic, their handling of it makes the podcast a comfort to me when I listen! Just knowing they care so much and work so hard to help, renews my faith in the world! Hope you love the app as much as I do!!

Just Not Worth It
I had been a $10 Patreon of Crime Junkie for about 3 years up until about 5 months ago (college finances got tight). I didn’t love the initial switch over to the app, since it was so laggy and buggy when it first dropped. About a week ago I renewed my Patreon membership, and I’m incredibly disappointed. The app is still buggy (crashes, audio cuts in and out). Besides all that, I’m not getting the content I paid for. They claim you get a “backlog” of episodes, but that content isn’t unlocked because I’m paying monthly and not annually, I guess. It’s not even that I can’t listen to the episodes from between when I cancelled my subscription and when I renewed it- I can’t listen to some of the episodes I had previously been able to access with a monthly subscription. I’m upset- the Patreon membership and the app it comes with is a cash grab and not at all worth the money you’re paying for it, unless you want to pay $100+ up front.

Not the best developed app
For as much as I love crime Junkie, this app is pretty junkie itself. I live in a rural area, and love to listen to podcasts as I drive- but this app has some bugs that really make it hard to use. Firstly, regardless of if I download an episode, if I try to open the app with no service, it won’t open, even if the episodes within are downloaded- so first big issue. But the one that really gets me is the stopping mid point- If I’m driving with no service and a blip of cell service comes back, the app instantly stops playing and logs itself out of my profile, leaving me hanging literally in the middle of a sentence. Because I’m in rural areas, I dont have the cell service to log back in, and I’m left waiting until I can get back to service. I’ve been a patron for over 4 years, but I just can’t continue to support an app that doesn’t work. I’ve gone back to just listening through Apple podcasts- at least I can listen there!

Love the podcast hate the app
I love y’all so much and I love your podcast. I am in the fan club but I have to say it is a real bummer having to use this app in order to access my membership and all of my content. The app is so glitchy. It always messes up where I am or just skips to another episode. The episode displayed is never the episode playing and sometimes it just plays with no sound. I mean, there are so many technical difficulties, it’s insane. I have to cancel out of the app like 200 times every time I try to listen to stuff. I really hope y’all take the time to fix this for those of us that subscribe every month.

Love the show, the app, not so much
I love Ashley and Brit. The podcast is amazing, I listen all day in work. The cases are interesting and keep me glued to my phone. The app itself is ok, it has some glitches. It takes time to load up my list of episodes, I am currently listening from oldest to newest and when loading that list the app sometimes won’t load and it will say that I am all caught up. It would be nice if my choices where kept for me when I close the app and restart it. But every time I close the app I have to go back to settings to chose oldest episodes first. I do like the fact that I can hide the episodes that I have already listened too, but I would like it there was an auto play feature. Help make this app a five star app.

Worst option for listening to podcasts available on the internet
I cant begin to describe how much I hate this app. The worst part about it is I need to use it to access the paid content of my beloved podcasters and I have no other listening option besides going back to the free content. I have considered this every time I have opened this stupid application. There is no autoplay, and it does not save my place so every time an episode ends i have to scroll endlessly to find where i was at and play the next one. Obviously i cant do this in the car, not that it supports carplay anyway. If you have not been yet locked into using this, consider just donating to your creators or if they have other options definitely use those instead. Their web app is even worse. Cheers

Love the app!!
I got the app a few months back and I love it! At first I had a hard time getting it to play but I just deleted it and reinstalled it and haven’t had an issue since.
What I love the most is that it separates this podcast from all the others so that the episodes don’t get buried by the other podcasts I listen to and I never miss an episode that way.
I love the fact that we can hide the played episodes when it works but it’s not a big deal if they show back on the app.

Best true crime podcast out there.
To me it’s about the details and the way she plays them out that allows you to follow along like you’re reading a book. Ashley flowers has a voice and tone and the research to back it up to really embrace the importance of these devastating stories. When she says this story is what made me go down a rabbit hole. Uh uh, EVERY story will make you go down a rabbit hole. These a real life stories that everyone needs to know. And remember it can happen to you. Be weird be rude, STAY ALIVE 🤓#CrimeJunkie4Life

User friendly!
This is such a great app that is user friendly. But even more than that, the customer service at audiochuck is the best customer service I have ever received. I recently got locked out of my account and had emailed Patreon, who were not extremely helpful, and then had messaged audiochuck who helped me get back into my account the same day! Such quick responses that actually solved the problem. I can’t say enough great things about this app and the people behind it.
