Description
Cubees is a creative puzzle game where you must combine cubes over and over in order to create one that matches the required cube for the level.
It’s like breeding animals; when you want particular traits then you pick two animals that have some of those traits, breed them together, and the offspring will likely end up with those traits. When doing this over and over you can come up with new breeds!
In genetics, you would consider the dominant and recessive genes in a Punnett square to predict the genotypes of a particular breeding pair. Cubees differs a little in that dominant and recessive genes are not considered but only a this or that approach is taken. For example, if the top left square for two cubes is white, the generated cubes from those two will necessarily also have a white for the top left square. If, on the other hand, the two cubes had a different color for the top left square, then the generated cube with have the same color as only one (randomly chosen) of the two cubes, hence, this or that.

Such a fun and simple game! Good for kids!
They took that concept from middle school biology and made a fun game! Reminds me of when I learned about dominant and recessive genes in 6th grade. I like the colors, the screen isn’t too busy, and my kids can figure it out! I hate when i have to sit next to my kids when they are playing a game because they want to play it but can’t figure it out. With this game I can just leave them to it, and the puzzles are just easy enough for them to figure it out yet hard enough to feel like a challenge. I’ve only done the beginner section though.... not sure how we will feel on the bigger cubees!! My kids have done the beginner as well!

I really love playing cubees! The game is fun and entertaining and the app is very easy to use and well designed.

Random
This game has great potential. However, there is too much randomness to the outcome for me to get attached. I want to solve a puzzle not simply click until I get it right. Take the randomness out and provide an incentive for solving it in less moves with points or something. I would also like to be able to see if I solved it in the least number of moves possible.

It’s challenging enough to keep you interested, but not to get overly frustrated. A great brain teaser!

Won’t open Beginner Pack :(
Hello! I’m a genetics major and was ecstatic to find a game like this one! However, whenever I try to open the beginner pack, it only shows me the tutorial. Which I’ve done multiple times. Which means I basically can’t even play the game!! I hope you folks are still around to fix this massive bug (the last update was a year ago). Please please please fix this! (March 24 2020)
