Extremely helpful app and support team
I’m a digital and traditional artist (painting) who is trying to become more professional, but my space is limited and I have a long day job.
Having a “portable light box”, for lack of a better term, is such a gift, because I can draw anytime I have a free moment. It’s helped improve my line work, it’s helped my anxiety about not being able to create art as much as I want to, and the choices of what I can project onto are essentially infinite. This has helped my painting, too, because my sources are more varied now.
I’ve gotten my partner hooked on it, who has no art skill whatsoever. He loves that he can make something look like the original source. It’s very validating for him.
The support team are very helpful but also humans. No robot chats. They’re also really nice.
I haven’t done a lot with the videos themselves because I’m not sure I’m the right audience for them, but I do skim them. They’re always updating them so I keep an eye out for ones that might be useful for me.
Overall, wonderful app. I usually hate writing reviews because I hate typing out long things on my phone but this is worth the effort. 5 stars for sure.

GENIUS APP
I absolutely love this app. It makes it so easy to just trace one of you favorite photos and then you can do whatever you want with it afterwards use color whatever paint it but it gives you a super easy way to get your picture of choice down perfectly on whatever material you want. You can size it and everything to whatever size you want, and whatever shading you want, add your choice of thin lining or thick lining to it. I honestly love this app. I wish I had thought of it first(lol) it’s genius. I’m about to get the stand and I’m excited to tell everyone about that as well.❤️❤️❤️✍️🎨👩🏽🎨🖼️🖌️

Does not work
The trace function is clearly a non-working element across many devices based upon other reviews and my own experience. Got no response from app’s trace function despite having high contrast between working surface and canvas. Got no response even after increasing lighting to resolve any potential shadows. There are no trouble shooting tips in the app and help is only available as an online chat (which is incredibly frustrating because not everyone can be crafting and hobbying during business hours). The app is clearly half-baked at this point and shouldn’t be a PAID item yet as the lack of both written troubleshooting instructions in the app for those of us with responsibilities during business hours and the number of people reporting issues demonstrates that we are the beta testers. Poor form, really poor form.

W an artist. Who you learn from. Who makes creating your own masterpiece possible.

What was also enlivening was getting connected to my own inspiration to create something particular AS WELL as feeling EXCITED about my sudden newfound ability to actually create something recognizable & beautiful.

Awesome and easy to use!
I found this and bought it on a whim and am happy I did! They have tons of options across many different mediums and are all led by artists. They are very informative and easy to follow along with.
Smart tracing takes a little getting used to but once you get it down it’s game on. I love that you can use your own pictures on top of all of the different things it comes with. You could use this all day and still barely search the surface of the possibilities!

Amazing app!
I stumbled upon this app and had a few questions for the developers, and was blown away by the customer service. Everyone I spoke with was incredibly kind and helpful. The app itself is just as impressive, the instructors are very clear and engaging, and I love the variety of projects that are available. I have tremendously enjoyed everything I’ve made so far, and can’t wait to continue improving my skills by using this app. The annual subscription has been more than worth it for me.

I bought the Cupixel Sketch Art Box for my child, 9.5 years old, he was super excited from the moment we opened the box, everything was super organized with the highest quality and attention to details, it was super easy to follow all instructions and steps in the App, the most amazing part that my son without a professional painting experience, after 2 hrs, he got an amazing result (he did a selfie), I am surely going to buy another Cupixel box. (to my other child), highly recommended !!!

Does not work at all
I feel like some of these reviews are fake.
The app is filled with useless videos. They market their tracing feature but it is almost impossible to find. You have to scroll to the bottom of the app & buy a subscription to even use it. You upload a picture from your camera roll, then the app changes is to this really weird a difficult black and white image that removes tons of details or mushes them together (I even adjusted the settings to max details), then when you finally get to the tracing part your photo will not show up anywhere. No “show photo” function, no explanation, nothing.
Difficult to use and too many useless videos. A huge waste of time.

Gateway to Fine Art
We’re an art gallery and art teaching studio. We are so excited to have discovered Cupixel and explore it as a way of introducing beginners and aspiring artists to fine art concepts and techniques they might otherwise be afraid to try. There are easy, standardized exercises but there are so many ways to think outside the Cupixel box and expand beyond just tracing and coloring within the lines. People aren’t quite sure what to make of it at first but once they try it they’re amazed. We love it!

Moving experience
I haven’t really sketched since I was a kid (a long time ago :) , a friend recommended cupixel to me and I was blown away by how easy I got started and the sense of accomplishment after I finished my first sketch 10 min later. The artist/coach was great at giving me cues on what to do and it felt like she was anticipating my next move. Unbelievable !
Highly recommend to anyone looking to express themselves and take your mind off of the day to day for a few minutes. I’ll defiantly sketch more.
